Ascents in Hazards Main Wall (Low Starting Point)

landed on my arse on P 4

We thought it was winning streak, did it just sports and top belay the lowest pitch. Bit of a holly shit moment abseiling down to the lowest pitch and looking around to see no bolts in sight.3rd pitch had a solid 10m+ unbolted runout along a walk up cracked bulkhead along the slab (good placement if you have some bigger cams) Stunning views. Seems like it was very easy for it's grade

With neets, seriously run out (15+ metres)

after an hour of standing directly below it we found it. Perfection.

A little annoyed I missed getting up into the chimney on the 4th pitch clean but a lovely climb. An great adventure day.

A great way to spend a nice sunny day. I led all pitches. Good climbing on mostly good clean rock the whole way. Definitely significantly run out in places (10 + metres between gear), but not to the extent that others had told me. Pitch 5 felt a bit harder than 16, but the protection there is bomber.

Expect small run outs of 10m and big run outs of 30m. Gear is mediocre at best. Good day out. Accidentally found our way (or got lost) onto Pneisses after Japhlion's 2nd pitch. I had climbed Pneisses before so it all worked out anyway

Man this route is a classic for sure. Forgot head torches and more importantly chalk bags and remembered before the horizontal chimney pitch of the sea level traverse. Went back to car and grabs both items and was thoroughly stoked on doing so. It had rained the morning of so the first pitch and last pitch were a bit of a waterfall, slab climbing is definitely more exciting when you can't even trust friction. All in all, great arvo out, last pitch is super cool, great layback and jamming moves although maybe a little more on the 17 side of things.

A single rack of cams from #0 - #3 BD and a single rack of micros -moderately large nuts does the job well. Runnouts are real and long but almost always the gear is great just before all the hard moves.

Most of the top section was wet and mossy making slab climbing a little more interesting. Rather than climbing the chimney/waterfall we used the face 20m south to top out. This face had easily the best moves on the route. A nice outing with brilliant views but the climbing was underwhelming

Collected my first Tasmania tiger of the wall, can’t say I’m in a hurry to collect any more they’re not nearly as coveted as what I was lead to believe, bold climbing huge runouts, but a worthwhile trip, pitch 4 was the best,

Tricky after a rain. And fairly run out. Swing leads with Dr. Foong.What a day!

Pretty scary, swinging lead with maxy. Long runouts, classic slab climbing, terrifying post-rain.

First 6 pitcher I've done, topping out right on sunset. Slabs for days, several nice runouts give an adrenaline kick

Long day out slabbing leading every pitch on this brilliant route. Some below average pro and runouts made for an exciting game time.

Super awesome day out! The rock is amazing and the views are stunning. Glad 16 isn't my limit because it would have been a lot scarier. Finished with the rising moon after starting quite a bit later than noon.

Scrappy badly protected slab climbing in a truly beautiful setting.

Would be a fun solo!

Some amalgamation of this with japhilion. There was no chalk leaking the way. Very different experience to running up the bard

Super good route, difficult to find the way in the middle but got back on track for the last couple pitches, all I can say, epicly good.

Went way off route during first pitch - slab to the right looked too scary. But way scarier the way we went. Epic day and night out.

Runout

Character building. I think I climbed a variation on the 2nd pitch by going a bit further right into the bum crack chimney. Laura had to simulclimb a few metres to give me enough rope to get to a belay. Didn't find RPs useful.
