Ascents in Flinders Island

Sooo sick ! But had my eyes on other things.

Definitely keen to come back for this amazing line! Moves were starting to feel okay but would take alot of work and fitness to red point! Mark managed to get it done on the last day!

On pre placed gear

Insane position and amazing movement. Really feels so exposed up high on the arete with nothing below you! Clipping was my crux I grabbed the draw four times (past all the hard climbing). In the end I resorted or regressed to taping the draw to the left and extending it so I could clip ahah. Could be hard for the grade?

Only had an onsight go. Felt like I would get it next attempt but I had bigger fish to try this trip.

Another dream climb to return for. Did all the moves but there is a seriously epic boulder problem near the top. So stoked I could try it.

Peach 🍑 point. Half pre placed half red point.

Day 3, did all 3 cruxes with 3 sits/falls.

2 sessions so far. Have done all but the first crux. Might not have the route fittness to finish it off in the last 3 days of the trip. So glad to be on this dream route of mine though.

Wow!! Beautiful Fire Tail, what a climb. Definitely the hardest route I've sent and maybe the best!

Seriously had to work for the 2nd day flash on this masterpiece of rock. Trad climbing doesn't get better. Steep, perfect rock, long, and I had to power scream on the last move because I didn't have good beta. Bloody fun day out.

Better than it looks. Challenging most of the way. Amazing rock.

Onsite go ended predictably at the crux. Has to be close to the best route of the grade in Aus. Insanely spoogy today but did the moves and sorted some sequences and gear. Don't quite have the crux dialed. Hopefully next session.

Mega classic easy grade multi in an amazing seaside location.

May have been slightly off beam at the start which made it a tad harder but otherwise it's 13 all the way to the top.

Fantastic location! Only had the time and skin to get the crux once, and don’t know if I had the best beta but great climb.

Did this last year, along with other stuff on the headland

FFA. Unless someone else wants to claim it, spotted this line last year, it took way too much skin and climbing days (3) but finally got the 3 sequences linked(success rate after figuring out the moves 70% first, 20% second, 30% third). Not that keen on having an accident on Flinders, so led it with 3 bits of gear- red C3, small wire, purple C3 and one more red C3 to top out.

This was an excellent route - first pitch only, even the chimney was great

A bit. Contrived as you step into DD briefly, and the move back right favours long arms. The thin cracks at the start were nice

The starting crack was good, but over too soon. Seems to head into the route to the left, though we stayed out of the chimney which is easy when you aren’t worried about gear!

Not as good as the original, the traverse right to join BB is best done quickly on a low spooge day
