Ascents in Barley Walls by Bec Cowell

Fantastic climbing.

Nice climbing, quality gets better as you go.

Enjoyed this climb. Fairly stout start for me but some nice moves. Top half of the climb had better rock and nice climbing. Anchor was a single chain with a bolt plate so we left gear to back up the single anchor.

Another run on this for some mileage. The bottom half was very dirty, but the top half makes up for it. Some nice moves throughout.

I didn’t climb it well but I got to the chains in the end. Was glad for the tick after retreating last time.

Nice climb on dirty rock, will clean up well with more traffic. There wasn't any route data for this climb listed other than a grade so I wanted to check it out. Start was quite burly for me. I ended up retreating just below the chimney after clipping 5 bolts when I found myself in full sun and remembered the middle of summer is not always conducive to fun climbing. This felt harder than the Exslovenian.

Accidentally ended up on this route instead of The Exslovenian due to a left/right mixup in the guide description (now fixed).

I clipped the 10th bolt but was finding it stiff for what I thought it was; climbing the wrong route will do that! Took my first decent lead fall which was fun but ran out of puff on this sustained climb and decided to call it quits.
