Ascents in Trevallyn Reserve/Hoo Hoo Hut areas

Got a bit lost and wasn't sure what we were on, but this was a really nice arete

Exit route. Nice flake to start and painful pinky into crack

the start is easy, but if you're not 6 feet plus, watch out for the finish

Very difficult crux for 21, unless I totally screwed the sequence. Went out right.

Note to self: 'bouldery' means minging crimps. Painful start, then a couple of ok moves and easy top-out.

More moss than rock, but a few nice moves while joining Missing Josiah

Great little crack, wish it was longer and a bit further from other features.

A few fun moves, but would need to be careful with gear as the rock on the LH side of the crack at half height is about ready to come out.

Great jamming, even with very raw hands.

Not that inspirational, just a few long moves to a few crimps.

Excellent, but my thin fingers couldn't quite handle the start move.

2nd shot. Need to have feet sorted at crux, but otherwise a great little route.

Crux definitely the start.

Wasn't totally sure which crack it was meant to be, so I did a lap on each. Both easier than 21. LH narrowing crack climbs harder at top, RH crack easier but more consistent with perfect chicken wings.

Friction slab climb. Pretty unique for the gorge.

Fun overhanging start is a highlight. Jugs and sidepulls up the arete. Short but enjoyable.

Overhanging start and traversing the horizontal crack are both really fun. Leaving the horizontal crack for the vertical break is the crux and I found it hard to protect without a cam small enough for the horizontal crack. Takes small wires well otherwise. Freaked out and blew the onsight so just did it on toprope after climbing the arete to the right.

Wasn't any better on toprope.

Some good jamming, tips through fists, but overall I didn't enjoy this. Not sure why.

Pinged off the start onto a small wire, swung, and kicked Hayley right in the guts.

Much less eventful. Mostly on small wires because I don't have any tiny cams.

Nice climbing on a cool looking piece of rock.

Burly warm up

Deserves the rep, super interesting movements getting you at all angles. Makes you use your noggin.

Got to the top by pulling through a couple of moves. Still figuring out the middle one! Suuuppper techy and balancy, especially at the top!

Brutal, fell unclipping a directional. Still super precise feet and body positions through the crux but easier (possible) once you unlock it.

This is a great route, quite technical and a solid 24.

The only thing gayer than the name is the three bolts. Nice route though. I'll come back with some big cams and do it properly.

Tricky balancy slappy weirdness.

Led clean on gear without clipping the stupid bolts.

Again to retrieve the stuck rope.

Used the tree down low.

Really nice climbing.

That crux is still tough.

Tricky crux. Spooged out of a damp, mossy ringlock before getting it right.

Nails. Couldn't stick the barndoor to the mingen sloping crimp at the bottom, then couldn't figure out how to move off said mingen sloping crimp once I got there.
