Very enjoyable, but would be a terrifying trad lead!

finally ticked my biggest nemesis route in the gorge. have never been able to top rope this clean but with some handy beta I got it in only 4 shots hahaha. The fingerlock move near the top is a ripper.

The new hold is much easier to reach and the sequence has changes a little, but it is certainly not the crux of the route. 23 is still a fair grade I think.

Top rock over hold has finally gone..sad day for Godfather lovers around the world..good thing is it still goes at about 1/2 a grade or so harder. Still quality.

Worked out the beta for the crux section..then tried to lead but draw gets in the way..maybe long draw next time?

Blew the onsight when I cranked the slopey jug above the 4th bolt right off. Stoked no one got seriously injured! Went second go with a harder crimpy and techy sequence to finish. More solid at 24 now.

Hectic shouldery lockoffs, tried the direct but suspect some of the holds have flaked off. Might still go at a harder grade.

Earned the nickname

Jumped on this and a couple other routes with some lovely launnie folk a few days ago. Route to the left had a really cool off-facing groove for some 'say your fkn prayers foot jams'. The right man itself had a really nice boulder sequence up top.. maybe my smearing on dolerite confidence needs work, but this felt about 21 for me.. copped a ledge landing and 2 more whips before hanging onto the flaring jam finish on my 4th crack by the absolute skin of my teeth. Hardest 19 ive done in a while. Good hands from em on belay. Good to meet some friendly people and enjoy a nice arvy sesh in the gorge. Followed up the next morning with a gr 13 grovel up a chimney i thought would be good for teaching eric trad! Probably got abit to brush up on if i wanted a guiding cert

A few clean top rope laps this morning had me highly confident on finally getting this headache of a route done, feeling confident in my beta my gear and the conditions, I blissfully started my quest, as I entered the crux I placed my lone No.3 RP, they winked back at me reassuringly as if to say don't worry I got you buddy, I thanked them kindly and continued on my way.... little did I know that there was a filming crew were in town, they were shooting a western and they had their eyes on me to star as the tumble weed... turns out everything was all a ploy to assess my fit for that particular role... the beta I thought I had sused... the confidence I had... the conditions.... and yes even the lone RP they too were in on it the whole time... my foot scated off the crisp morning dolerite my flaring fingerlock unable to catch me I flew past that two face RP it winked at me once more, however this time there was something malicious about it... it threw its arms up in the air and dove out after me... I bounced once flipped over and proceeded to unknowingly audition for the tumble weed role....
