Ascents in New South Wales and ACT by Max Gordon

Feeling like my jaunt to Araps paid off for this one. Could happily climb this every visit. Rocks harder than Russian prison and i thought she looks alright too. Mega!

Everything felt wrong. Rope not long enough, small bee hive on the start and not enough draws. Thought.. "whats the worst that can happen?" and had the best experience in ages. What an absolute cracker! Definitely one of, if not, my favourite routes at Nowra. Had to use and then take draws on the way up and two lower offs to get down haha. Worth going to this crag for. Frothing.

As good as the adjacent wall in my opinion

Well-protected inside corner crack that is quite cruisey until the finish.

A wee power scream once i'd committed to some thin holds at the crux to reach the break above. Looking back there were multiple bigger, better holds lol

I've played with a flesh light a lot, so i guess my standards were quite high....

Right at the top I put my hand in a fist sized hole to the thought "theres moss in there" yelled "faaaark" when a bat squeezed past my hand and flew by my face squealing hahahaha

Equally as good as battle of the bulge

I can see why this one is popular. Clean crimper problem. I thought the ledge finish would be lame but it felt more like a podium finish, especially when you turn around and see the view, mint!

Very nice climbing in a beautiful position. The last hold feels like coming home for christmas! so good!

Pretty sandy. Doesn't feel like it gets much traffic.

Best route at the grade? unreal climbing! All these routes are very good but this one is the stand out, probably because of the quality of the slab start that the others lack.

Climbing out of the overhang is fun. The rest of the route is pebbly and quite dirty at the moment. Wear goggles.

Full value. It's like worm on a razor's big brother. Should be called sperm on a taser.

Balancy, tech climbing on solid rock with great exposure.

And boogie you shall! A spasming pistol squat should get you onto the balcony.

Firstly going left out of the crack onto the slab, probably a bit harder. Second time round staying true to the crack for a much better experience. Strong finger locks.

Last climb of the day, completely fell apart pulling through the crux and almost lost it. After milking the rest for way to long, i almost made this route grades harder for myself trying to climb the short head wall using small sloppy pockets instead of the obvious juggy aerate, it was good to finish off with another onsight.

Back when this was first put up. A quality route from memory.

If only these routes were longer.

My arms almost fell off trying to find a hold to clip from. Keep your whits for the finish.

Very nice climbing. Bolts are well placed at the crux. The rest of the route felt like a committing lead on small/medium wires with very nice secure climbing.

Incredible climbing. The reputation is the hardest part. Not a sandbag at all.

This was my first 23. I went back on 3 occasions and still consider it one of my favs because i worked so hard to get through the side pull above the break, took so many falls there

Nice climbing on big holds. The slot you clip off was formed to fit a hand, it 'almost made a believer out of me" haha. Great first night climbing session.

Struggled my way up the crack with little technique and no style and continued the desperate fight all the way to the end, something only worth doing on "onsight day" lol

I thought getting off the ground was the hardest part so probably worth stick clipping the first bolt. The last 10 meters is obviously where the stars come into it

Great climbing, definite crux, wish it were longer.

You'll know why its called "Donut Queen". Laughed when i held the donut

You'd either love it or hate it, i think it's classic!

Has some great climbing. The first few meters and the holds at the anchor are dirty. Used a single rack of cams, including a micro.

Mostly jugs in a wicked postion. A great route for the end of the day escape.
