Ascents in New South Wales and ACT by Luke Yerbury having sport-cpr or ascent-date

Had a look at the dream route at the dream cliff. Did the first move but thought I'd back off as I was in approachies without a belay. Will be back!

Top rope aid. Did most of the easy moves, left the hard stuff for someone else.

Cleaned er up. A lovely pitch with cool holds and sequences

Warmup to 4th

Sampling while Matt's draws were up. Managed most moves except for a couple in the crux. Seems like a fun route to work, lots of subtleties.

Exploratory lap getting a big spray down from the lads. Did all the moves, might try it again soon

Went for a sus. The final move is a bit tough and the crimpy traverse might be hard when pumped, but not heaps harder than HTTBC. Seems like 28 if you don't use the jug out left on HTTBC before traversing right. Might be 27 if you did it that way.

Managed all of the moves on the intro lap. Mind was blown by how sustained the route is as soon as you leave reigning steel. Second lap had a foot slip in the early crux and linked to the top in a few sits and refined some beta. Could see this going with a bit of effort. Keen!

Draw hanging lap. Quite cold, didn't pull many of the hard moves.

Numbing out, gah

New highpoint, then dogged the shit out of it to the top. In with a shot at this if connies aren't too cold/warm lol

Batman start. Reeeally nice climbing. Did a real dumb after the hard stuff, a heel twisted off and suddenly I was in the air.

Did the crux as a big throw. Sets you up nicely to exit the crux, but quite powerful.

Drop knee beta feels much more repeatable.

Climbed to the crux and had a nothing go at it. Room for improvement in the bottom half. Enjoyed it more than I expected too, pretty keen to work on this

New high-point at the bolt below the rest locking off to the right-hand slot crimp.

Thirsty helped me skip some hand faff in a lower sequence. Coming together nicely. Same high point, but should be able to get through this to the rest next session.

New high point, unfortunately at the last hard move. Hands were numb at the slopey rest and it felt like I was spending endurance warming them back up.

Fell quite low when I screwed something up. But made it to the top from the second bolt of zonc. This thing is soo close!

Low expectation lap in the sun went about as expected. However! I realised I can make the last move more secure by changing the order of things.

Is this the 1993 Bill Murray comedy classic Groundhog Day? Another bunch of good attempts, but also quite numb a few times.

Draw hang

Figured out some nice beta for all the new tricky bits. Had my heel slip as I went for the pre-traverse jug on my second lap. That final move at the anchor is a real bastard!

Forgot about a footer in the low crux, got too extended and had to let go. Bother

Fell at the slot crimp, don't think I looked at it before going for it.

Oh my days, made it to the last hard move again and even hit the next hold, but my right foot popped.

Couple warm up laps on the easy stuff

Playing around with the start boulder.

Boom! Felt solid the whole way. My shoulder complained about the low crux, but a good rest afterwards meant it didn't matter. Stoked to finally tick it

I felt more warmed up after the first failed attempt. Got up to the top rooflet and hit the left hand on the lip, had to fight hard not to drop it crossing over the right hand! Desperate catch with a good dose of luck! Had a great time working this route!

A rude number of sessions falling on the last dyno. Decided to hold on for a change 🤙

Couple false starts catching the sloper and not feeling "on", third time was the charm! Psyched!

Couple of dogs to suss moves. Feels achievable + is super fun = will come back.

Jesus. As bolt to bolt as it gets. No particularly hard moves but the accumulation is epic!

Trotters clean to warmup then bolt to bolt sussing. Few goes trying first move of crux. One for another day.

I liked the jugs at the top. Woof woof.

Opening the account. Just couldn't get the height on the 2nd big move. Had many goes at the last dyno and juust couldn't stick it. Flapper from 'one last go.' Moves are ridiculous and I'd love to have a throw on it again!

Spent some time figuring out the cruxes. Did all moves except for the main crux.

Figured out the main crux and it goes not too bad. Feels achievable! Final traverse will be a pumpfest on the Redpoint.

Sussing again.

Need to figure out what to do with my feet when matching the pinch. Keep cutting in an uncontrolled way.

Finally figured out beta that works quite well for the traverse!

Hanging draws

Trying out moves from end of plonka. No longer having trouble at the first lip. Figured out some beta for all moves except for the very end. Sure there's a trick. Absolutely feels like the hardest 27 I've tried so far!

Didn't feel great on the cruxes. Linked from crux to top.

Linked to midway through the crux. Changed foot beta for lower tough move and crux.

Didn't have the gas I thought I did for another attempt. Bit of a bugger to clean!

Three tie ins progressively working my way up the route. Linked from the anchors of plonka to the roof. Found a good double kneebar in that section! Also finally managed the moves to the anchors, involving the worst hold on the whole route and a cheeky kneebar. It's a JJ route, of course the moves to the anchors are screamers! Having fun!
