Ascents in North Sentinel having Beta

The heat made this feel so much harder.. after not being on it for so long glad i can still get to double kneebar rest before last boulder problem while putting draws on!

I had a little play on the start of this last week and it felt way too hard. I couldn't do any of the moves at all. Decided to give it another go and today it was much better. It is such an amazing climb! It feels like an adults jungle gym. Just fun fun fun. It's pumpy all the way and has just one small section that I can't figure out yet. Once I can do those few moves it'll just come down to endurance.

I'm really in love with this climb. New project, yay!

So excited to check out a new Frederick's Peak area. This fishbowl area is absolutely awesome! It's an amazing steep cave full of beautiful pockets and scoops. It will take me a while to be able to climb anything here as this route is the easiest thing! I had a play on the start but didn't really get any of the moves or very far up the climb. It looks like a fantastic route!

Warming-up and reworking the moves after last week. Figured out a section at the top that I couldn't do last week and so I could now do all the moves.

Surprise send. I'm totally totally stoked. My first 27!!! I thought it'd take me a bit longer but after warming up on it and figuring out the top section that I couldn't do last week it all came together pretty easily. Love love love this climb. Really enjoying climbing steep stuff again.

I've been looking dreamily up at this climb since first going to the fish bowl a few weeks ago. It is just such a beautiful looking climb! So long and steep and pockety! I had a really fun time today jumping on it for the first time and having a bit of a play. Most of my time on it I was working out the bouldery bottom third. The rest of the climb looks amazing but I was a bit tired after figuring out the start to do any of those steep moves. I'm really super excited to start projecting this!

Working, working, working. 3 goes today. Each day I get on it there is progress, however small. My high point got a tiny bit higher today, I managed to do the pumpy middle pocket section clean for the first time and I have some new beta to try for the last few moves. Definitely still a ways off but I am thoroughly enjoying the process. I really can't get over how awesome this climb is

First time to Fishbowl - Thanks Monica! Cool climb, did all the moves except the last hanging from bolt to bolt. Too tired to reach last jug to clip anchors. 3 attempts today, climbing through a few clips on the 2nd and 3rd attempts while refining moves and determining cruxes & possible rests. Will take some work to link it all together, but thankful that I could reach every hold!

More projecting. Three goes today. Got up to the second last draw clean on one shot, a new high point! It feels like it's starting to come together now.

Two goes today. New high point clipping the last draw, stoked! Definitely just a matter of time now. I finally feel like I've worked it enough. Just need to climb efficiently so that I'm not too pumped to do the top and I think it will go. I'm really really really enjoying this climb so much, it is just such a fun route.

Projecting. 2 shots today. Fell low first go. Second go reached my previous high point at the last bolt. Spent some time today sussing out alternative sequences for the last bolt to the anchors. I have some freshly stolen beta that will hopefully make these last few moves possible when I'm pumped! Looking forward to getting back on it hopefully soon! Maybe with this new sequence it can actually go for me!!

More attempts today, had 3 shots. So close on my first go, fell above the last draw. Futher away on my second and thrid. Once again I have some new beta for the top! The best and easiest feeling beta I've had so far. Heading back this Saturday, feeling and hoping that it is very close to going.

Honesly I thought this climb might happen for me on Saturday but after another 3 shots it was still a project. Fell off low first go, up high second and pretty much everywhere on the third. Thankfully it is just such a ridiciously awesome route that I couldn't even try to be frustrated about it. I was just looking forward to my next day on it.

So stoked! Definitely feels like the hardest thing I've ever done I don't think I could have picked a better line for my first 28. This climb is just so damn lovely for a list of reasons too long to write here. Many thanks to Liam and Kim for their belays, midweek or weekend trips and encouragement/beta sharing.

Sussing this out for a new project and it's a gooden for sure Nice boulderish moves at the start followed by a pockety/juggy traverse that leads in to a fun crux that has nice holds. Didn't have a go at the top this time but it looks great too. Three goes today playing around on the first 2/3rds.

Happy days getting back to play around on this climb some more. Two goes today. Almost managed to do the first 2/3rds clean but fell off just at the end of the crux section. Still haven't looked at or climbed the top 1/3rd, this is my goal for next time.

2 more working goes. Got two bolts closer to the top, only one more bolt and the anchor to work. Fun, fun, fun! The moves getting to the last bolt will be a little bit exciting I think!

Just one go today but excitingly lots of progress made. Managed to sort out how to get to the last bolt and so also got to clip the anchors for the first time. Turns out these last few moves aren't too bad at all, just a bit heady for me initially. I did fall at the crux too but it felt really fine after just one quick second off. Knowing now that I can actually do the top will really help me commit now, I think!

Good climbing in the top 2/3rd. Sadly lacking in any hand jams for weaklings like me though a good selection of knee bars helped. Start is kinda grotty and seepy, 3 bolt is scary to get to, fingery move to the first pod was no fun either.

Awesome endurance route. Got two thirds up on the flash attempt before the pump set in. I was pretty worried about the undercling blocks before the anchours but thankfully found a sneaky rest before the last moves for the second shot send The manky start can be avoided if you find the right Holds. Great route.

this route is my favourite in the cave, crux in the roof was hard today with the knee pad on the wrong leg to awesome roof climbing even in the heat!
