Ascents in Mt. Wells

Figured out the first 4 moves. Need to come back and try again.

Had to give this a scrub on my first attempt. Once I scrubbed it. I jumped on it and sent it.

Back in July 2014, I found this route extremely tough for an 11a. Drew and I projected it and we finally figured out the crux. Wanted to come back fresh to try it. Went back today and sent it quite easily.

I was so close to on-sighting this route when I first tried it last summer! So I promised to get it the next time I tried it...... well today was that day and I sent it

Very cool route but it is a bit scruffy. Need to bring a wire brush next time.

The local Guide book stayes that it's either 10b with an A0 section OR 10d. Either way it's a super fun lower pitch, with great gear (small Nuts) into bolts, and a few supplemental cams. I never did find the 10d moves, but did climb through the slabby A0 section. The upper two pitches could use a scrub, but with a little digging I found good gear. Climbing through the crystal pockets was super fun! Definitely a must do in Vic!

Another really tough start but I found this one a bit easier than Crispy Critters. Thin moves and balancy

I had tried this route a couple months ago and a key hold was wet. It made it too tough to send. With the beautiful weather this evening and dry rock, the send was much easier

Felt a little stiff for 10d. Nice climb none the less.

It has a tough start off the deck. Some very fun balancy moves when you do the left variation.

Between the second and third clip is the toughest but I didn't have too much difficulty. Another great climb.

Our local guide books say that it's either 10b with an A0 section OR 10d for the first pitch. I was able free the entire thing, super fun lower pitch, with great gear (Nuts) into bolts, and a few small supplemental cams.

There is some loose rock climbing though the fist roof, but it's easily avoided, I marked what blocks I found with an X and will remove them soon.

The upper two pitches could use a scrub, but with a little digging I found good gear through slabby terrain. Climbing through the crystal pockets was super fun, but P3 isn't much to write home about. Either way it's definitely a must do in Vic!
