Ascents in Mt Rundle having Beta

Good start to the day, a confidence booster for new boulderers.

Nice enough day out with some beautiful scenery. Climbing was mostly pretty ordinary and the route seemed to follow the worst terrain it could in some places for the sake of maintaining the grade. Some of the bolting became odd as the route progressed with wierd placements in crap rock or creating cross-loading. Bolts in the low angle middle section were smashed by rockfall but not really needed as you could hike these couple of pitches both up and down.

Fun, with 3 slab sections that are easy to navigate, 12 and 13 can be linked, simultaneously climbed until pitch 9

Turned this into a trad climb when Kelly couldn't find her bolts then belayed off a twig. Continued the tradition of Tuesday multi pitches with a feast of leftover wings on top.

Climbed it in 6 pitches with Lisa. The wind got up on descent (we did it in 5 raps with double ropes) and made rope management quite problematic. Some loose rock but most can be avoided. A very nice spot and a fun easy day out.

Saturday morning sprint with Bec. Linked all pitches in groups of 2. Nice morning out with Brendan and Kristyn who joined as well. The climb itself is average at best.

New walk-off descent is quick and will benefit from more traffic.

Scary with that gaping hole behind me and no spotter. Sweet problem.

Think this could be a first ascent due to the amount of moss on a crucial crimper. Used my old sleeping matt to cover the jagged rocks.

After moving the small bonfire's worth of twigs at the base the landing was pretty flat on this one.

Not in the guide but looked like it had been done before.

Kelly provided some badass leads and Adam attempted some edgy long rappels. Climbing in mittens and chicken wings at the top!

Great climbing. Like doing a bunch of single pitch routes in a row always on the move. The last pitch is by far the best.

Led 2nd, 4th, and 6th pitches (per SummitPost description) - partner led the rest. Still in great shape, third week of April, with just a few particularly wet spots, and somewhat stepped out.
