Ascents in Ettringen by HaeMeS having sport-cpr or ascent-date

Easy intro to short bouldery middle part @ the 2 fixed quickdraws (thanks!). Perfect hands-off kneebar in the crux makes things easier . Solid jams afterwards towards the belay of Softeis. Maybe just a hard 7b+? #soft

At last!!! After years of trying . Low humidity was key. Some additional strength helped as well - could finally rest at the rest. Fantastic conditions today for June. Propose an upgrade to 7c+. #hard

Hard fridge-hugging start with shitty footholds. Did the upper part without the crack on the righthand side which adds a couple of fun compression moves as a bonus. The bouldery start is about 7A, so a 7c route-grade seems justified to me.

Tricky pinch into kneebar-crux. Get someone to brush the route for you before climbing it ;-). Easy ending. #2go

Very tricky arete. Did an inbetween variation with a handpalm mantle between B3 and B4 (between lefthand version and the continuous layback of the ‘direct’ version). Ultra-low humidity on a cold and overcast day (in june!) made the difference. Ca colle! Climbed straight after Exquilibrium placing the draws except the unclippable (for me at least) B2.

Very nice technical pushing and also a little pulling. Cool route, typical of the weirdness Ettringen has on offer.

Climbed right of 3rd bolt - the hard way. Silly. Tricky arete at the top.

Tricky and good. One of the best in Ettringen. Distinct crux around the roof. People with small hands have an advantage after the roof. Pretty hard for a 7a -> solid 7a+.

Leuke route met mooie passen. Flash/onsight verkloot door koude handen op laatste pas. Geen problemen echter tot daar - de facto een flash, dus niet zo erg. #soft

Really good route on perfect rock. Without a bouldery crux, which is rare in Ettringen.

Morpho par excellence. Main problem involves the thin crack+lack of decent footholds. Havin' thin fingers/being tall helps. It aint over though, cause there's an upper crux as well - which might not be noticeable for the strong, but for me it certainly wasn't trivial. Impossible route for me in less then perfect conditions/weather. Being morpho it is hard to stick a grade to the route. It either goes or it doesn't.

Easy and fun. Crux is short and at the start.

7a+? Short semi-tricky sequence. Waaaay easier than other 9- in this sector. #2go

Kratzerleisten. Tricky boulder and all about getting the right foot on the foothold and moving your hips a couple of centimeters. Which was at my limit. Hard!

Dirty grotty fun piece of shit. One hard(ish) move does not turn a 7b into a 7c... or does it? Grades aside - its a fun little climb! #2go

Perfect (easy) hands roof/pod with option to use a foot-cam to stabilise. Fun! Small crack afterwards. 6c/6c+.

Right hand variation through the roof. Fun moves. Retroflash of the start of the route.

Nice route. Not to hard and not conditions depended.

Short and powerful route. Deserves a star in the guidebook.

From bolt #2 in the route to the left traverse the wall to the righthand edge. Climb this using a cunning heelhook. Fun moves! Did not find the kneebar. #2go

Hard. Deserves an upgrade to 7a. Dirty and dusty which adds to the difficulty. Semi-loose hold/foothold after the slab/traverse to the left. Removal would be wise. #2go

One tricky dynamic move in the end with the feet on friction.

Very cold. About the only route that was almost snow free.

Great route! Very dirty after winter. Now clean. Get someone else to brush the holds for an onsight...

Hardest part is getting established on the proper wall. Piaz in stead of jamming makes easy work of the crack. Remember: place plenty of pro in the glass-like crack cause it can (will) rip. Or don't fall. Climbing grade wise it is probably just a 8+. Shame the crack is so short. #soft

Good condi’s low down but too humid at the lip of the roof. What a route! Cool moves! #hard

To easy for 7b - more like VIII/VIII+. One move wonder. #soft

Unfortunately only the top part offers really independent climbing: nice tricky moves on open holds while fridgehugging the basaltic column. The start of the route per sé is rather contrived. After a couple of very bouldery moves with the crack in the middle of the column (no feet but easier than it looks) the holds lead towards the dihedral taken by Glaserne Ringe on the left. Easier moves lead to a great finale. Cold and dry conditions required!

Hard on the fingers/body tension at 2nd bolt. Afterwards no real good rest until you get into the dihedral. Nicer moves/climbing than expected! 7b+/7c.

Pretty hard in damp conditions. Bit disappointed by the actual climbing. #hard

Hard to find the right method, but once found the climbing isn't as desperate as it seems on first sight. Cool moves around the 3rd/4th bolt! Morpho. Easier for the tall, somewhere round VIII+/IX-. #2go

Pff, tricky moves in upper dihedral being chased by the sun. Missed the onsight by an inch, had to try very hard to get the redpoint. Good route!

Without the large crack on the left = IX-. Really nice climbing. Tricky open dihedral to start with and fun move to reach the terrasse. Tricky layback with difficult and reachy move to finish. It'll go without being to burly with a cunning sequence - will you find the solution... ;-) ?

Without the large protruding iron 'Brechstange'. 7a seems alright for the on-sight. Especially when dirty. Really good climbing. Shame about the dirt in the lower half. #2go #hard

Missed the on sight due to humid conditions. Fun bouldery fridge-hugging style problem. 3rd bolt bit high - take a cam.

Not very typical for Ettringen: overhanging and pumpy. Very nice route. Beware: the belay is rotten ( 6-2013) and should be replaced.
