Routes in Guadalcázar

Inicio a dos manos sobre sloper/regleta que se encuentra justo fuera del techo o “el cuarto”, como lo conocen todos los locales del Realejo. Movimientos largos y potentes en travesía hacia la izquierda hasta llegar a un lance duro a un sloper. Se dice que en este cuarto habitaba gente en la época de la revolución, es un punto de gran interés turístico pues dentro de la cueva/techo aún se puede observar gran parte de una barda antiquísima construida por aquellas personas. La versión dura de este boulder arranca precisamente encima de esta antigua barda para poder alcanzar los primeros agarres, de ahí se hace una travesía potente y de movimientos largos en agarres buenos hasta poder llegar a Minotauro.

Uno de los boulders más estéticos y perfectos del bosque. Un cara extraplomada con solo los agarres justos para subir en ella. Inicia parado con ambas manos sobre la única regleta a la altura de la cara, sigue la línea de “arrugas” sobre este boulder para llegar al labio de la roca, de ahí es una pequeña travesía a la derecha con un mantle. La bajada se hace saltando a cualquier de las piedras aledañas.

Inicia parado debajo del techo a un costado de Batileche, con laterales buenos para cada mano, va hacia el techo para salir a dos regletas decentes y hacer un lance duro a los slopers del filo, de ahí se hace travesía hacia la derecha para unirse al top out de Batileche.

Starts at the deepest part of the cave. Longest route in the cave. Ends in the whole in the ceiling at the highest set of anchors and shares the anchor with Chinguetti and Vaacanda.

Starts on the largest stalagmite at the left end of the cave and climbs out the underside of the roof ending at the highest set of anchors in the hole on the other side of the cave. Shares the anchor with Oagadougou, Chinguetti, and Vaacanda. Classic!

The endurance testpiece of the cave. Climb Ataque de Golondrinas to the base of the roof. Climb through the roof using stalatgtites to a technical crux when the stalagtites run out. A steep arete leads to the anchors.

Climb the large stalactites just right of the tunnel to the other cave to the lip of the cave. Resting on the large stalagmite makes the grade to 12d/13a. Shares the anchor with Oagadougou and Vaacanda.

El stand start de robusta.No haces la travesia de la fisura hacia la izquierda. Empiezas con las dos manos en la fisura y vámonos para arriba directo

Inicio sentado sobre regleta lateral de mano derecha y sloper de mano izquierda, la línea asciende directamente al filo para llegar a otros slopers y de ahí moverse hacia la derecha sobre más slopers para poder hacer el mantle final y subir por todo el slab que lleva al final del boulder.

Cara central en estas dos piedras que marcan “la recepción” o entrada al bosque. A un lado de “Génesis”. El primer ascenso se hizo con varios pads doblados para alcanzar los jugs del segundo movimiento, pero con los años los siguientes ascensionistas se dieron cuenta que era posible saltar desde un lateral de mano izquierda a estos mismos jugs. Incluso se puede hacer un inicio en salto corriendo a estos dos agarres. De ahí la línea continúa en línea recta sobre gastones/jugs buenos y continúa derecho hasta llegar a un agarre recto y positivo sobre el filo.

Sit start con dos laterales abiertos. El inicio es muy divertido y relativamente sencillo, como en travesía hacia una grieta de regletas, de ahí se complica salir hacia arriba porque el agarre clave es muy malo.

Variante de África. Escalas toda la ruta hasta el último bolt antes de la reunión y te desvías a Crónicas, usando el último bolt y reunión de esta ruta. Combinando el crux de África y Crónicas

Sigue una línea de slopers diagonal desplomada. Talones técnicos y una sección muy mental arriba.

Empieza en una regleta de lado izquierdo y sale derecho por el centro del boulder

La gente local lo conoce como “la ola” desde hace muchísimos años, un boulder de mucha estética y movimientos de competencia. El inicio es parado ascendiendo sobre el slab hasta posicionarse para uno de los dinámicos más intimidantes en el bosque. Mantle delicado y técnico a altura considerable del suelo. Definitivamente un boulder hecho a la perfección.

Puede comenzarse en cuclillas sobre regletas/pinzas o bien arrancar parado en sloper de mano izquierda y under de mano derecha, línea que tira un tanto hacia la derecha sobre el filo del boulder

Pequeña prueba de mucha tensión corporal y técnica de pies en este boulder que pareciera un dado o cubo. Se inicia en cuclillas a dos manos sobre una regleta obvia en el lado izquierdo del cubo, de ahí se sigue en travesía hacia la derecha sobre slopers y pinzas malas para llegar a un lance final al filo del boulder. El top out se hace directamente sobre la proa o filo vertical del boulder.

Va por toda la banqueta hacia el lado izquierdo hasta meterse a una especie de placa y sale por unos sloppers

Inicia sentado en sloper de mano derecha y regleta de izquierda. Continúa por la diagonal central, en travesía hacia la derecha hasta salir por el filo.

Climb up the largest tufa on the wall until it ends. From here climb through the technical crux on slopers to the anchors.

El inicio puede ser en cuclillas o sentado, dependiendo la dificultad que se desee. Ambas manos sobre riel obvio, para continuar a otro riel más y sloper/pinza de mano izquierda en el filo, el top out es sobre agarre gigante obvio en el lado derecho del boulder

Comienza en una laja separada del boulder con dos manos. Te paras sobre la laja para seguir por pasos técnicos plaqueros.

Bonita secuencia en crimps, inicia dos manos en una regleta muy obvia, un top out tranquilo.

A great start on tufas leads to a boulder problem through a bulge then jugs lead to a ledge. From here power through the crux boulder problem to the anchors.

Climb the obvious tufa until it ends at a blank wall. Follow the line of small crimps to the anchors.

Starts at the obvious stalgamite left under the arch.

Start on top of the stalagmites right of the stairs at the cave entrance (3rd route) and climb through stalactites to a hard boulder problem right before you reach the final stalactites. Shares the anchor with Vaacanda, Shangrila, and Rabat, by the skylight.

Climb through hundreds of hanging stalactites starting on a large stalagmite left of the stairs as you go down. One of the best routes in Las Candelas! Ends in the whole in the ceiling at the lower set of two anchors. Shares the anchor with Shangrila, Rabat, and Sri Lanka.

Climb through a series of pinches and crimps to reach the spectacular tufa. Pinch up the tufa and follow jugs to the anchors. Shares the same anchors with África. Classic!

The first route bolted in the cave and one of the best routes here.

Climb the large stalagtites until they thin out to a straight line of stalagtites with blank sections in between. Pull through the crux and continue through large stalagtites and tufas to the anchors.

A technical start leads to fun stalactite climbing followed by a section on crimps and sidepulls before the last tufa section to the anchors way up in the roof.

Starts with a hard boulder problem to a stalactite party. Ends on the biggest stalactite on the wall.

Arranca de un under tipo gaston y una regleta y va hacia la derecha hasta salir por en medio del pico del techo

Excelente boulder con movimientos interesantes. Top out divertido y relativamente fácil.

Comienza sentado, con ambas manos sobre la banqueta y continúa por el filo para salir por agarres buenos. Atención!

Ubicado a espalda de cubo tiene una textura parecida al caparazón de una tortuga

Increíble boulder que empieza de sit start en un sloper. Vas a un agarre bueno y hay que salir del techito estirándose mucho. Mucha flexibilidad y fuerza en piernas o mantle. Originalmente graduado como V5. V4 tras la rotura de uno de los agarres en 2023.

Inicia con mano derecha en una pinza sloper e izquierda en un agarre alto (jump start). De ahí siguen movimientos como de voulder de gimnasio en volúmenes para una salida alta per relativamente segura.

Pequeño off width desplomado. Comienzas con puño derecho empotrado bien adentro de la grieta para poder meter la parte izquierda del cuerpo a la grieta y gusanear hacia arriba. Difícil de graduar en escala de boulder, pero se puede decir que es como el crux de un 5.10b de off-width
