What a cool line. Some very unique moves through the crack system lead to a heady crux that isn’t as outrageous as it looks from the ground. Exit still needs some figuring out — might be possible to go straight up in one big pitch instead of traversing left.

A staunch start, especially for shorter climbers. A solid crux near the top which is also difficult to clip from below if you're not super tall. I'm not sure if the section left of the anchors are off route or not.. definitely worth the effort!

Hard for 25....I'd say more consistent with other 26s I've done in SA so far. 2nd try. Beta spoiler - don't try to climb in the corner seam at the first crux. Stay right. Right foot way right - left smear and from there undercling go straight for the jug up top (if you're tall) or if you're shorter (like me ) take the side pull with the left hand (on the Arete) and then go for the jug on the top.

7A/V6. First 7A in Rocklands! A 17-move monster! This compression boulder feels so exciting from start to finish, in an "in crescendo" fashion, with the hardest and longest move at the end- a cutloose rodeo move. When I first saw the problem, I tried a powerful beta which didn´t work, then saw some people do it, which made me dismiss Creeper (easier 7A but less attractive) and dedicated 3 days on this. Was inspired finally by Maria´s ascent of her first 6B+/V4! Got instantly psyched, dug deep XD

"Best 6B+/V4 in Rocklands". Juggy, tensiony moves on a roof followed by the tickytacky moves on the headwall. An excellent first impression of Rocklands- not that other problems would not have impressed me equally well! Maria got so close to sending this! One more day, and for sure she would have!

Did the big move to the undercling variation at 6C/V5. Surprised myself when I actually caught it first go, felt marginal and had to push hard to close the crimp and maintain the body tension for moving my feet, but managed to do it!

6B+/V4. Awesome tensiony traverse finished up by a huge deadpoint to a jug. Basically a smaller, much easier version of Bengie black (a gorgeous full body dyno to a sloping jug), which I got painfully close to sending... Had to abandon it because it was shaving off all of my skin! Next trip!
