Ascents in Klein Tuinkop

The ledge at end of P1 was really atmospheric. Some antics climbing as a three on a single rope. Cool ground up OS FA multipitch. Nice one Josh.

Nervy start, delicate footwork on the traverse, and a powerful move after you pull on to the headwall. Great route.

Josh found a really cool line here. Sustained climbing.

Ground up OS FA. Best new route lead I've done here so far, close to coming off, quite pumped. Took the most direct line up the wall and through thin face climbing and shallow rails. Good gear. Stoked this line worked out.

Ground up FA OS. This one worked out so well, those three chicken heads in a row are so cool. Megan said it was like Magnetic wall. The starting chimney is tricky so I kind of climbed the outside edge and stemmed across. Really fun climb

Matt found a cool line here. Interesting move through the first roof.

Ground up FA OS. That thread at the start of the route looks like a joke but is bomber. Matt took an alternate direct line to the right and made this into a 22. Would be cool to try that variation. Very happy this line came together on the upper face as I couldn't really see that from the ground.

Ollie found a great line here. Harder than 18 if you move right from the thread via the corner crack system.

Spicy start. I sidestepped the crux over the first roof because it was covered in lichen. Needs a bit of clean.

To our horror we found a big gap between the flake and the rest of the pillar. Felt solid enough, though.

Spicy start. Fun flake and cool roof at the end. Enjoyable.

Committing first move. I wimped off right. Keen to go back for the harder, direct line. Worth noting that Josh pulled off a piece of rock the size of a soccer ball higher up. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.
