Ascents in Toix Oeste

The first pitch is not fully bolted and there are a few run out sessions. The rock is a lot better than in the neighbour Red Route as it’s not polished at all. 5+ is hard for the grade if you climb the upper slab following the line of bolts.

I slipped and fell two thirds up the route, polished in some places and bolts are sometimes a bit distant. In the guidebook it’s marked as a 5 which is a sandbag

First pitch is 6a/6a+ with some runouts. Third belay is somewhere right and under the last pitch of Cilber. The line of the last pitch is quite unclear, on the right of Cilber, not left as shown in the guidebooks, therefore we chose to climb the last pitch of Cilber.

A nice and long route with some pretty spaced out bolts! Descent in two rappels

Supercool second pitch. A couple of splippery footholds and some very old and rusty metal make the ascent a bit tense 😅. In Esther's opinion a beautiful easy stroll ♥️

Some pretty dodgy bolts on the first pitch (old and rusty). The second pitch is better protected. Couldn't find the anchor for the start of the final pitch (it wasn't anywhere near what is shown in the Rockfax guide drawing) so ended up summiting via the last pitch of Cilber. Quite run out that last pitch! All in all a fun day out but it you're not comfortable in the grade you might get a bit spooked by the bolting

Nice flake on the second pitch. Anna led the first pitch. Very enjoyable.

An exciting climb - a challenge all the way up. Excellent sustained climbing.
