Oh my god!!, WTF just happen. yessss. Two 8as in one week. Didn't feel like climbing as was only planning to take photos of Valenstina. First shot for the day after working this a couple of tries last season, been working on my mental game and it has paid off well. Stokedddd. Yiewww. so psyched to get this done.

Thanks to Jon for that little beta change that I manage to get the send, 4th try in total and Fighting hard + Roof climbing style, mega pumper and first time I use 2 proper knee bars. Psyched.

Definitely hard and one of the better test piece here. Probably the best 7c route in Geyikbayiri, technical right off the bat, followed by pleasant and superb tufa climbing to a dead point crux and average rest and 7-8 moves of power endurance towards the anchors. Probably better not to clip the last Quickdraw when doing a red point attempt as there’s not really any pleasant holds to clip from. 5 stars.

Wow, 1st flash of the AU27 grade for an early Christmas present, must be the power of baklava. Super cool line with a hard boulder start to a good ledge and then really nice movements on pockets and undercling and of course in proper geyikbayiri style the crux is at the end. Psyched

Probably my proudest ascent to date. Was fighting really hard for it. Follows off sort of easy and then the first crimpy bouder crux after the third clip, almost wanted to give up there but kept chugging, then onto some easier terrain and after that super technical with underclings and high feet, 2nd crux was alright but made the 3rd slopper rail crux super hard, followed by a right hand mono and a hard crank on some slippery feet and you get the left hand clipping hold. Bicep super sore now.

A 1st hard crux before a good rest and then pretty good holds on the roof. Great gymnastic style of climbing.

An unexpected send when I didn’t feel like climbing today and definitely a good one at that. Power endurance route with lots of cruxes. 2 boulder problems coming out of the roof leads to Sustained crimping and some Technical moves. A perfect end to 2020. Too many days on for climbing. Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow when it’s raining.

I guess it’s the classic must do route here. Cool climbing, Leads to pockets and tufas.

Tricky first crux leads to a pretty pumpy and interesting finish with lots of big reaches.

A bit of a technical start leads to a no hands rest and the big moves on good holds. Awesome.

I would definitely count this as a onsight as got my most epic whipper today, nice start lead to quite a few chossy bits, was Clipping the anchors and a huge chalk up block came loose which resulted in a 15m whip and the rock the size of my torso was dislodge. Trend left towards the anchor when climbing this route.

One hard crux for the shorties and another at the anchors.

Cool climbing with a mid crux on the thin tufa crossover. Awesome

Cool power endurance line with 1-2 cruxes and plenty of rest, definitely go for the onsight if you are climbing this grade.

Pumpy moves on fairly good holds, crux is clipping the anchor but with the draws in you could do it better. Hanging draws not that fun :p

Start 4 moves of very Crimpy shouldery Gaston boulder on the crimp rail to pumpy 7a climbing after. Super test of my crimp strength, been loving the shorter routes here.

Got my revenge this year in 30 degree heat, humidity was off the roof but got the beta dial and went for the send, a 7c a day keeps the doctor away. :p

An often overlook climb because of its bouldery moves but the close proximity to camp with 1 minute approach made it an ideal climb for my testing my power on crimps.

Boulder problem with a technical yet powerful crux sequence for the first 3 bolts and easy climbing about 6b to the top, Definitely glad to put this away despite the warmer conditions and had to take advantage of the evening to send this climb

Feels pretty hard for a 7c for sure.

Glad to climb one of the first lines here, Technical and quite beta intensive and lots of trusting on your feet and smears especially for me at least.

Back on form after refining some beta, definitely a pumper once you get off the ground till like 3 quarters of the way on small crimps and pinches. Stoked to get this.

the name says it all, alot of cross moves on monos and two finger pockets and a hard crux for the shorties in the middle and no proper rest till you reach the anchors, a power endurance test piece for sure, thanks to Dasha for asking me to give it another go for the end of day sends. Two 7cs yiewwww.

Cool power endurance line on pockets that is quite sharp but good. Cool line and a must do here. Pump factor is awesome.

When I first tried it I felt that it was so hard and seem impossible, probably because there wasn’t much psyched, went on a good day and it went down after sorting out the sequences. You basically climb the 6c to a good rest and then as you exit the rest the first crux comes at you hard and fast and it’s sustained the whole way towards the chains. Awesome

Awesome climb and one of the best Grade 27 I have ever climb, super technical with some bouldery moves and just enough rest to keep you going. The bad tufa pinch near the top before you get to the juggy tufa is the red point crux when you're pump for sure. Mega line and a must do for everyone climbing this grade. On to the next

Finally up my knee bar game and this went easy. Just gotta trust the knee bars. Awesome line on pockets and then tufas to big moves on overhanging incut jugs.

Wow, what a journey and unexpected onsight at the end of the day, thanks to Neil that ask me to jump on it when I wanted to call it a day.. yew.. nice throughout with two distinct cruxes. Luckily the tufas are dry now, after coming out of the 6a it turns on and you gotta power your way up the tufas, nice finish with some jugs as well. Definitely not as pumpy as the next door neighbour to the left. Feeling fitter climbing the longer routes here. Psyched.

Phwooarr, super mega pumper, especially carrying all the quickdraws, I needed to rest for a good 15 minutes after coming down the route. This route is a marathon, a few very good rest but super tricky and cruxy climbing on pretty average holds and definitely some run out sections, I didn't think too much about the run out as was just too focus on getting up there. If possible use long draws and if you can unclip a few bottom ones it will prevent rope drag, a 80 metre rope is very helpful as well.

pumpy towards the top and the crux is definitely clipping the anchors while you're pump, there is a better ending jug on the left but when you're pump and on your onsight/flash attempt its hard to spot.

10 metres of 7a+ gives you the sickest pumped factor ever on the undercling roof traverse, glad to put this one away on the warm up, probably not the best idea. :p

Feels good to be back. Fun pockets to the overhang and a tricky move to get to the jug where you can rest and recover for a bit before the final tricky slabby section, gotta trust your feet.

Quite hard to read but manage to get some beta from Anna, glad she had the draws up which help a bit for sure.

Surprise myself by getting it second go, After sussing out the moves i figured i just gotta commit and tame down the pump. Super cool movement with the double cross to a mono gaston and then some techy moves to reach the rest before a tricky roof sequence to get to the anchors.

Bouldery sequences break down with good rest, tricky and technical throughout the end.

All moves felt solid and no struggles, especially the second half, didn't feel pump at all after the send, no knee bars and just milk the rest in the cave. Glad to put this one down before moving on to the next.

Didn't feel like climbing today as was really sore from trying the 8a yesterday but just got on it to clear my mind, didn't expect it to go so smoothly. 3rd shot in total. Average rock at the bottom/start of the route and it gets better and better, crux involve a one finger mono and a bad two finger pocket before going to an alright slopper jug and then pumpy finish.

one crux in the middle. Contemplated going left or right and went right in the end. Lucky cause that seems like the beta. Pheww. Pretty pump after holding on the the sloppy jug for a while before the crux.

A hard Boulder start after the 3rd QuickDraw leads to some easy climbing and a very tricky right traverse to awesome jug haul with dynamic and gymnastic moves. A must do here. Use to be 7c in the old guidebook. #2ndshot #hard
