Felt soft, but failed to send

Wow, finally pluck up enough courage to to try a 8a on this trip as I feel a little bit fitter. Did all the moves but will probably take a while to put it together. Psyched

Nice and quite short. Not hard for the grade for sure

Couple of goes with Simeon in the afternoon. Feels really good, found new top crux beta and linked from the lower pocket to the top. Still need to link past the first crux, finding it really hard to match.

Sweeeeeet! Such a good line. Went first go today after a quick warmup on the 6c. Felt awesome all the way up!

1 go. Really cool climbing! Got all the betas, need to give it a proper go to see how they all feel linked together

So close! Fell off the last moves. New bottom crux beta, left drop knee go over with left hand instead of the right drop knee then intense match. Still hard, but far less intense I think. Had like 4 goes, probably did the bottom slab like 10 times today :')

3 goes today. Was raining, didn't really expect much. Warmed up on the fingerboard then got straight on. Did the first crux much easier on my first go, then remembered all the moves. On my second go I got to the crystal crimp, then on the third go I made it to the next crimp! Just need a few more beans and it'll go! Very excited

Four goes today ... kinda frustrating. Couldn't do the first crux on the first three goes, then somehow managed to do it on the final go, and got through to my high point. Reckon if I'd done the first crux on my first go it would have gone! I need sooo much power and core for the first crux, by far the hardest moves I've tried here so far.

Pretty good route for the grade, had to fight hard on the upper crux.

Punted after the crux on my 2nd shot. Significantly easier than every other 8a I’ve tried here. Top crux sequence is a lot of fun, and it’s still not over until you clip the chains

Sent on my first tie in today

Had a couple of tries (3 I think) a few weeks ago. Felt cruisy today

Did up to second crux on 2d, 3d attempts. Set up long draw on second crux to easy up the clipping.

Finally did it to the top! Such a great route. Messed up with hands in the middle part, but used old beta to fix the sequence. Was worried a lot about the last two bolts, but luckily had enough power left to finish the route.

Sooo close on my second shot. What a cool climb!

Really fun moves on good holds most of the way, then a tricky crimpy crux for the finish. Amazing line!!

Possible, but is it worth it?
