Ascents in World by mivi

I initially logged this as 7a+ but since everyone here seems to agree the guidebook grade isn't accurate at all and I was unsure as well, I will follow the consensus and only log this as 6c+.

Extremely #morpho. If you aren't tall this may well be a 7a, but if you are it's exactly one move which isn't even that hard. My first 7a onsight would have been nice, but let's be real...

Nice line, but the way I did it no more than 6c if at all. Maybe I went too far to the right sometimes?

My topo says crux near the first bolt. I disagree and would put it higher, but it's pretty consistent dihedral fun throughout. Pumpy only for the calves, you can always technique your way around having to pull hard. Plenty of somewhat good rest and clip positions, would not have been necessary to pre-clip the first two bolts in retrospect.

Technical. Great friction.

The slab isn't easy, but even getting onto the slab is hard as well. I probably didn't climb this direct enough to warrant the 7+, hence the downgrade. Certainly wasn't the only one chickening out to the right judging from the polish

Not gonna lie, the chalk from previous ascents certainly helped lead the way through the overhang at the end

Nicer than the left variation

Easiest 6b+ of my life. Pretty sure I did the correct line but it felt way easier.

I like slabs. I've climbed a supposed 7a slab and several ones in higher grades than this one. This felt like the hardest slab I've ever climbed. Either I completely missed the beta or it's very hard for the grade. Apart from that, mostly nice. Kinda polished like everything here.

Pumpy but some okish rests to be found

So many slopers. Nasty traverse to the anchor.

Technical

Not sure what the intended path through the overhang is, found a pretty good knee bar which made it possible for me

Two-move-wonder. Easier, the better you can reach for the jug rail.

Difficult start

Difficult start with very painful holds.

Very nice route but felt easier. Maybe more like 6a. Increasingly difficult the higher you get. Quite technical on the slab (probably why I felt it was easier )

#morpho? Or just super soft? This felt easier than 6b.

Once it gets vertical it's a (mostly crimpy) fight to the very end. Nothing to rest on, and no nice jug at the anchor either. Feet are polished throughout. Gotta go for it and hope the pump isn't faster

Technical

Crimpy, technical slab. I thought it would be over after the third bolt. It is not.

In direct comparison to the similar-in-style R7, this is probably only 6b(+).

Not a popular route I guess? Very crumbly in general, and I broke two foot holds. Many positions for no hands rests.

One somewhat committing move in the steepest section, otherwise easy.

Hard to see the crucial feet when going onto the slab.

Not as sandy as the name suggests. Not more than everything else in Annaberg at least. However one jug that was also chalked up still from someone elses go made terrible aching noises and I did not dare pull on it fearing that I might rip the whole thing out. Still, one of the nicer routes I've done here so far.

Plan was to do Guater Haggen, but thinking about it now, I probably messed up by going too far left, so I guess I did Flügel Hardest section right at the start.

Very nice. Feels loooong.

Only pitch 1. First bolt is high but safe. Crux right there, then much easier to the anchor below the tree (can't be seen from the base)

Didn't expect the top to be so hard still with all the wet holds, but doable.

Nice overhang. Very close to Aris towards the top.

Really nice slab. Traversing left was harder than I had imagined looking at it from the ground.

Hard at the first two bolts, then a huge ledge before the second, easier part.

I certainly wasn't dancing here. Although my legs did some crazy moves during the crux... Likely harder if you aren't as tall.

First bolt is fairly far 'off route', I'd recommend a clip stick. The initial rock is crumbly as well. Gets better after the start. Not the greatest route to clean.

Nice. Felt exposed. Crux came earlier than I expected it to. Polished footholds still held.

Mostly juggier than it looks but also pretty polished and a somewhat committing crux.
