Sun: The crag is oriented north to north-west and in the forest. So it's mostly shady, with some sun spots at the late afternoon.
With kids: At the approach is the Zauberwald, containing lots of things for kids to explore. The base at the crag is mostly flat with space to play and exploring the forest. This makes it very good with children.

From the parking space at the Zauberwald (
46.3857, 8.1303), follow the path into the forest. Basically always keep left and don't go up the hill until you reach a small cabin (
46.3830, 8.1241). If you go right you will reach the first 3 sectors, for the others continue the path after the cabin and go right later.
