Ascents of Erg Direct as Red point

Thanks for pushing me to do the direct Kyle! Been a minute but felt great!

What a pump fest! Left arm wouldn't recover even after sitting in the cave for ages! Amazing climb though. Felt very different on lead 😅

First 22!! Took over an hour and had a slip or two, but oh my God, what a fun climb and exhausting send. The crack was wet in the middle! Wet jams sucked but I wasn't about to give up. Thanks to Dave for the belay, Tristan for helping me work it, and Paul for getting me on this route in the first place. Loved the moves from the layback at the start to the off-width at the end.

End of the day romp. Love this climb.

Absolutely the better way to climb this. I felt solid the whole way.

With Janette. This time I approached and did the climb 'in the zone' which cast a magic spell over the whole experience window (and enabled me to send the line easily). Janette seconded while the evening's charcoal clouds were lit, and we rapped off in the dusk. What an amazing feeling.25 April with Phil.
