Ascents of Ursula as trad

Crux on P1, fun climbing on P2.

Some moves but pretty easy

A few scary spots for 5.6! Second pitch is a breeze, not often done.

Seriousy, I thought this climb was a tad committing down low, with poor protection, adn a lame finish. You can't keep off the ledge if you blow the crux and it's a ankle biter. Wouldn't put a new leader on this 5.5. There are better, cleaner climbs.

Lead P2.

Christa led, took her awhile to do the crux, a committing move around a small triangular roof. Dirt said later that Ursula is considered to be quite underrated. It was definitely a fun route though, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The Gunks is the only place I've been where I can climb stuff this far below my ability and still enjoy it as much as I did.
