17 Sweet Dreams Left Variant (Sweet Dreams Variant) Mixed trad 120m, 12 Blue Mountains Classic Sat 18th Feb 2012
Classic for the aspect and exposure. Linked p1+2 and p3+4. Nathan led p1+2; I led the rest. Don't recommend linking 3+4 as there is too much rope drag over the traverse and then all the way up to the belay before the 17. It's been rebolted and now the only gear needed for the variant is a #3 camalot and a med-lge wire.

17 Sweet Dreams Left Variant (Sweet Dreams Variant) - with Ben Eastwood Mixed trad 120m, 12 Blue Mountains Classic Sat 5th Jan 2013
Led all pitches except the traverse.

17 Sweet Dreams Variant Mixed trad 120m, 12 Blue Mountains Classic Thu 31st Oct 2013
with Khoi Bui

16 Giggles Mixed trad 30m, 7 Blue Mountains Good Sun 18th Sep 2011
One fall

17 Currawongs & Chocolate Cakes Mixed trad 18m, 4 Blue Mountains Good Wed 9th Nov 2011
Tough crimps straight up between carrots 1 and 2. Easier out right.

15 Tombstone Wall Mixed trad 30m, 3 Blue Mountains Classic Sat 26th Nov 2011
Tricky jamming at the start, then straightforward after that. Lovely outlook and just one of those piddo climbs that feels so nice and satisfying when you are looking down from the top.

8 Faith Trad 52m Blue Mountains Don't Bother Sun 4th Nov 2012
Unchallenging climbing with challenging pro - the opposite of fun.

11 Angular Crack - with Mike Corkin Trad 25m Blue Mountains Average Sun 4th Nov 2012
Jug fest but looked like the pro would be vexing to we top roped as a speed climb as we were up there from FC anyway.

15 Echo Point - with Andy Myers Trad 20m Blue Mountains Average Sun 6th Oct 2013
14 Joseph Trad 46m Blue Mountains Good Fri 18th May 2012
Lead p1, mike led p2.

17 Viparete Trad 30m Blue Mountains Good Sun 27th May 2012
Great climb; poor pro - glad I wasn't leading this.

14 Joseph Trad 46m Blue Mountains Very Good Tue 2nd Aug 2011
Nice and easy

14 Gently Mine Trad 50m Blue Mountains Very Good Fri 30th Mar 2012
Nice view and bomber pro.

14 Gently Mine - with Ben Eastwood Trad 50m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 1st Feb 2014
Supposed to be Ben's first trad lead but he chickened out so leading this again. It doesn't come better than this for gear.

15 The Carthaginian Trad 33m Blue Mountains Classic Tue 2nd Aug 2011
14 Refusal - with Andy Myers Trad 25m Blue Mountains Classic Sun 6th Oct 2013
Hard start standing magically on absolutely nothing.

17 Flake Crack Trad 53m Blue Mountains Mega Classic Tue 2nd Aug 2011
Totally pumped me out. Last climb of the day and very sustained. 2 falls and had to step on a carrot at the end just to make it up, so we'll call that French free and definitely no clean tick. Next time climb first route.

17 Flake Crack - with Mike Corkin Trad 53m Blue Mountains Mega Classic Sun 4th Nov 2012
Came back to lead but happy with clean this time.

17 Flake Crack - with Khoi Bui Trad 53m Blue Mountains Mega Classic Sat 2nd Nov 2013
Led P1 clean; Khoi led P2 resting before the rooflet.

18 Bellbird Wall Sport 100m, 16 Blue Mountains Classic Thu 5th Apr 2012
Absolutely fantastic. Loads of fun and some nice really exposed bits that will get your blood pumping. There is a fair amount on choss and rock that will break right off in your hand, mostly around the route periphery and at pitch ends, so be careful and don't put total faith in anything if you're not safely protected. With Mike Corkin. I led p1 and p3, Mike p2. All clean.

18 Bellbird Wall Sport 100m, 16 Blue Mountains Classic Thu 31st Oct 2013
Turned a bit epic: storms, darkness, strange finger spasms/cramp. Hauled on everything and anything to get out before dark.

19 20 This Sporting Life - with Khoi Bui Sport 43m, 15 Blue Mountains Mega Classic Sun 3rd Nov 2013
Led P1 only. Almost clean but rested (aka faffed about) too long just before the 4th bolt crux and had to rest on the rope to cure the elvis leg.

18 17 Burning Jowls Sport 18m, 8 Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 28th Mar 2012
Nicer than it looks.

16 Mezzaluna Sport 25m, 8 Blue Mountains Classic Wed 14th Mar 2012
Tougher than 16, mostly on the sustain. Crux got the better of me, mostly on confusion and indecision, and I had to have a little rest. Should have just ploughed though. Either left on the side pull jug or right on the delicate little stuff work - just have to keep moving.

15 Spoonbender Sport 12m, 7 Blue Mountains Don't Bother Tue 3rd Jan 2012
While we waited for everyone to get off Landmines. It beat sitting around getting eaten by mossies - just about.

17 16 Karinya Sport 25m, 7 Blue Mountains Very Good Tue 29th Nov 2011
Really fun juggy warm up.

18 The Bandoline Grip Sport 18m, 6 Blue Mountains Good Sun 23rd Oct 2011
Run out as hell but easy ground (15) all the way up. Then, like its buddy to the left, another tough crux that makes the grade. Fun but try 'Country Special' first and if you make it, skip this for something else.

19 Mike and Lorna go to Town Sport 25m, 6 Blue Mountains Good Fri 18th Apr 2014
18 The Bandoline Grip Sport 18m, 6 Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 25th Mar 2012
Repeat with Albi

19 Ancient Mariner Sport 12m, 5 Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 12th Oct 2011
Pumpy.

19 Spook Eyes Sport 10m, 4 Blue Mountains Average Sat 20th Aug 2011
Guide and ACA say the crack is out but don't preclude the arête. So I used the arête and not the crack. Not sure if that makes this Spook Eyes or Wanker? but we're getting a bit contrived anyway so it probably doesn't matter.

19 18 Spook Eyes Sport 10m, 4 Blue Mountains Average Sat 3rd Dec 2011
With the arête; without the crack.

15 Shabby Doll Sport 16m, 4 Blue Mountains Good Sun 10th Apr 2011
Easy and fun

18 17 Mr. Curly Sport 10m, 3 Blue Mountains Good Wed 21st Sep 2011
So nearly onsighted - fell off right at the top. Lots of swearing... Guide said 17; I agree.

19 Empty Chairs Sport 10m, 3 Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 3rd Dec 2011
Lovely. Over too soon.

13 19 Cartwheeling Sport 30m Blue Mountains Crap Sat 26th Nov 2011
Only did P1 and it was crap. First hold broke off in my hand that set the scene for the pitch. Scrubby and chossy (and also not 13), P2 looks more interesting but it was getting late and the troops restless...

18 No Lunch Sport 14m Blue Mountains Average Wed 4th Jan 2012
A few awkward bits. Stuffed up the top mantle right by the bolts.

17 Stormy Monday Sport 18m Blue Mountains Average Sun 25th Mar 2012
Topped to clean

14 Squashed Parrot Sport 18m Blue Mountains Good Wed 21st Sep 2011
First lead - first onsight! Nice.

17 Creature Without a Brain Sport 15m Blue Mountains Good Wed 12th Oct 2011
Came back to lead it and caught a flapper at the start.

16 Mr Big pitches 1 & 2 Sport 55m Blue Mountains Good Sun 30th Oct 2011
In the rain. Led p2. Need 2 ropes for p3, which was the whole idea. Never mind. Next I'll read the guidebook before we pack.

14 Squashed Parrot Sport 18m Blue Mountains Good Sun 27th Nov 2011
Just to clean it from Albi's first lead. Did it with the direct, totally-not-14, start though just for extra fun.

18 The Answer is Obvious - with Ali Myers Sport 20m Blue Mountains Good Sun 23rd Oct 2011
15/16 most all the way up, then 18 crux on the last move. Went left for the crux and Ali went right. Staightahead is a no go I think. Thought this was Country Special (as many do) but I checked with John Smoothy and Country Special is to the right and still on carrots.

18 The Answer is Obvious - with Mike Corkin Sport 20m Blue Mountains Good Tue 22nd May 2012
Repeat of this fun one (and was still thinking it was Country Special). Now I have to onsight Country Special for real....

18 Mr Scumbag - with Mike Corkin Sport 20m Blue Mountains Good Fri 7th Sep 2012
Freezing, windy and after 3 months off. Easy climb except for the crux move on the small sharp side crimp. Couldn't make it as a static move but it turned out to be an easy lunge.

14 Squashed Parrot - with Khoi Sport 18m Blue Mountains Good Sun 30th Sep 2012
17 Creature Without a Brain Sport 15m Blue Mountains Good Sun 30th Sep 2012
17 Good Fortune - with Khoi Bui Sport 18m Blue Mountains Good Fri 1st Nov 2013
17 Creature Without a Brain Sport 15m Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 21st Sep 2011
Wished I'd led it now, but the rope was there.

15 Noodle Sport 12m Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 16th Oct 2011
Had to top rope - Andy forgot the hangers. Stupid carrots.

18 Lexical Density Sport 25m Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 16th Oct 2011
Top roping again coz we had no hangers. Couldn't find the jug after the mono so popped off and had to hang for a minute. Shame, otherwise pretty straightforward.

19 Little Triggers Sport 25m Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 26th Oct 2011
Tricky crux start unless you are really tall. Plain sailing from there, though sustained.

15 Noodle Sport 12m Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 27th Nov 2011
18 Schwing (Schwing Pitch 1) Sport 46m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 3rd Dec 2011
Alzheimer's onsight. Easier if you stay out of the cave. Really fun.

18 Mr McGlue Sport 20m Blue Mountains Very Good Tue 6th Dec 2011
Made more of a meal of it than necessary. More brain needed than brawn.

18 Soul Sister Sport 24m Blue Mountains Very Good Mon 2nd Jan 2012
x2

17 20 Landmines for Line-Dancers Sport 12m Blue Mountains Very Good Tue 3rd Jan 2012
Either I hate this route or it hates me. Got spanked even harder than last time by the evil start. 33 degrees with kamikaze mossies and the extra 5 kgs from Christmas probably didn't help much though. Regardless, this isn't 17; more like 19.

21 Nude Tuesday - with Mike Corkin Sport 20m Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 28th Mar 2012
Thin indeed. Two rests working this on top rope.

19 Little Triggers - with Khoi Boi Sport 25m Blue Mountains Very Good Fri 18th Apr 2014
18 Lexical Density Sport 25m Blue Mountains Classic Wed 14th Mar 2012
Juggy fun but I was too pumped already. This was supposed to be my redpoint of this easy 18. Dog day afternoon it would seem.
