15 | ★ Iron Butterfly - with Grace Daff, Jill | 28m | ★ Good
Quite nice climbing for the first two thirds of the climb. Some great exposed moved in the middle. I regretted not bringing hexes. The last portion felt more like a technical scramble and wasn't great for protection, so I just ended up running it out, but I'm sure it could be protected if you wanted to. Belayed off a tree at the top (near the top-out), but it didn't feel ideal. The tree certainly doesn't deserve all the rope pulling. Would have been nice to have the actual anchors - otherwise would certainly do it again.

Really cool climb - great variety of moves. Would be a bold start on lead.

16 | ★ Winston Alley - with Elissa, Sinead | 10m | ★ Good
Felt much harder than a 16, but the guidebook says it's harder for shorter people, so... Definitely need to be comfortable moving on small gear and footwork is king for this one.

13 | ★★ Clockwork Orange Corner - with Sophie | 15m | ★★ Very Good
Felt hard for a 13, but then again... grades at frog tend to surprise quite a bit ;-) Definitely bring big cams on this one (even if you're a top gun). The moves are awkward and holds quite polished...

17 | ★ If - with Sophie | 30m | Average
The start felt a bit scary, mostly because it's really hard to protect - I could only place one decent black alien.. Then pretty much a huge runout until you get to the piton... so definitely need to have a strong head game to appreciate this route. Then it's fairly easy terrain. The wide stemming moves at the top are quite cool... The route wonders to the left quite a but, so probably a good idea to bring lots of extenders... I think I got a little bit off route into the moss land towards the end... Definitely worth a lap, but probably wouldn't rush to do that one again.

19 | ★★ Sorcerer's Apprentice - with Elissa | 30m | ★★★ Classic
Super stoked to have done this one! Loved it - from start to finish. Great gear, super nice jamming the whole way up - quite sustained, but you get just enough features to take a breather here and there. The start felt tricky and perhaps less secure than the rest of the climb (just because it was quite thin). Then, as the climb widens at the top (camalot #2-#3), there's a bit of a pumpy section, but once you power through, the rest is a scramble. Definitely recommend it!

18 | ★★ Fluid / Epic Link Up - with Elissa | 30m | ★★ Very Good
As I'm starting to break into the 18-19s at Frog, I felt it was a wonderful climb! The first third of the climb on Fluid, I'd say was definitely the hardest section for me with some thin hands, but you get treated to some really nice hand jams just before you get onto the ledge half-way up. Then traverse to the Epic line - felt quite scary and committing, but you get great gear just before, so feel really amazing once you step over. The second half (top part of the Epic line) feels quite cruisy afterwards. Although, not sure if my onsight is 100% legit, since seconded Epic Journey just before...

18 | ★★★ Plume - with Jack Potter, Elissa | 25m | ★★★ Classic
Absolutely brilliant climb! Great combination of hand jams, finger jams (which felt quite solid) and face climbing. The hardest part for me was about 1/3 of the way up - where the crack thins out and you need to power through until you get to a nice juggy hold... I have to admit, I was almost sure I was going to take a whipper, but somehow pulled off. Another tricky section is at the top where you need to switch to a face climbing mode. Definitely my biggest stoke at frog so far!!!

Fun little climb... having to do 2 pitches to get here makes it kind of epic. Nice protection and great hand jams the whole way up. Lots of rests!

15 | ★ Bad Company | 20m | ★ Good
Personally, I felt it was harder than a 15.... but then again, I'm fairly new to Frog and trad climbing in general. Definitely hexes are a good fit for this one - I didn't have any and definitely regretted (ended up using a no. 2 camalot as passive). There's good pro the whole way up, but because many holds are less than positive, it definitely makes for a tricky head game in a couple of spots. Nice climb overall!

15 | ★ Bad Blues | 22m | ★ Good | |||
The start is really nice! Super solid hand jams... but the top airy section is not great, since even if you place the pro in the chimney, you're still falling directly on the ledge... so a bit of a mind game at the end... took a me a while to find the rap chain (it's on the right side behind/down the ledge that you top out on).
