Ascents in Point Perpendicular as various tick types by Gee Rad

DWS anyone? An epic experience starting with a 20 minute search for the carrot (we rapped off the boulders and only found it at the end of the day). This route is absolutely wild; an overhanging arete with a 50m drop to the crashing Tasman with southern right whales swimming below. Pat lead the way and cleaned up the holds, then I snuck in to get the flash. We finished up a flaring fingercrack on the right side of the arete, probably not the full tick.

Maybe even classic! The way this pushes you out onto seemingly blank rock is wild! Climbed on Pat's gear

Of our three ascents, no one found the secret pocket that makes this a 20! Felt like 23; harder, more laybacking, and better than Turbo-Curare

Pre-equipped the carrots

Very cruxy at the bottom bolt. 5 carrots and a set or two of medium cams.

Should've read the guidebook! Wandered all over the place trying to find decent gear and easy moves. The finishing diagonal rail looked fun.

This well-named twin offwidth would be kinda cool of it wasn't a giant pile of sand.

Repeat. Fun deep twin crack jamming. How can this be 19 and Teneré only 20?!

Complete retroflash, I was certain I hadn't done it

Save a #3 camalot for the final bit or you'll be very runout (I had a #2 and it kinda looked alright)

A camalot 4 works well enough at the wide bit, a 5 is better.

Good, fairly well protected by regular cams and a Sabine's creative wire placement. Shame about the carrots on the left wall.
