Ascents of Sunburnt Buttress as various tick types

Followed Ben up the first two pitches and was not having a great time, decided to bail.

The vibes where bad

Bailed after the second pitch due to the brutal sun. Bit disappointed we couldn't keep going but I was starting to overheat. One to come back for on a cooler, less sunny day!

First three pitches before getting too sunburnt and bailing to the beach. Fell on pitch 3 after pulling off a hold.

Fantastic first pitch. P2 bit scary with lose rock. Pitch 3 is a ripper - couldn't do it clean tho, I was a jibbering mess by the end of it. P4 should have been enjoyable, but my nerves were pretty shot by then and the 10m run out from 2-3 FH didn't help much, neither did the crumbly rock. Got lost on P5, with 2 sets of FHs leading off, then ran out of light 2/3 the way up, belayed David up, then finished it easily with a headlamp. What a terrific finish tho, the lights glowing in the distance on an incedibly balmy night. A 3* classic.
