Climbed this to exit Waffer Thin Fin. Glad I didn't lead it, it's very run out particularly pitch 3

Run out but easy, didn't need the cam that was recommended in the guidebook.

4 28 Second lead by Owen

We missed the first carrot as we went left instead of right, which led to a fairly big run out... but it is pretty easy climbing

We got back to the ledge on the rap down from Wafer Thin Fin so avoided the aid pitch.

Looks ugly but actually very engaging low intensity aerobic climbing to finish the day

Climbing out after wafer thin fin - felt like an adventure with a rope and pack on our backs!

Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Dalpura Head Dalpura Wall
19 M1 Welsh Dragon - with Jorge Packer, Rodolfo Bertozo, Cynthia F.
2 15m Sport lead by Bruno Martins

The 4 of us were standing on the belay stance, first group went first only finding a few carrots and then joining back to one of the abseil anchors (where you could reach the fixed line), very sketchy traverse to get there, so congrats to Rodolfo on this one.

After the first group was gone I started climbing and found a few more bolts, however I had seen the first set of anchors but for some unknown reason I didn't stop and kept going, the rope drag got pretty bad and I ran out of bolt plates, so came back down and belayed Jorge from the belay ledge.

Tricky slab climb for a 16 (at least for me), and the carrot bolts add to that.

Because I had gone at least 5 bolts passed the anchor, was easier for me just keep going instead of swapping of gear and rope, so off I went. And believe it or not, I missed the anchors AGAIN =/ and did the freaky run out of the third pitch in one go, same thing again, came back down, found the second bolt of the anchor (2 carrots where the tree is) and belayed Jorge from there.

Climb itself wasn't hard. Finding the carrots was.

4 28m Sport lead by Bruno Martins

Once again it was easier for me to keep going as my rope was already at the first bolt of pitch 3 and that runout was crazy scary, honestly take some protection for this part, the fall could end up really bad. Cruise climb though to join back to the other team and belay Jorge from where we started.

After the mission of getting to and out of The Lost Pillar, we still had work to do. Either jummar up around 70m or climb 3 or 4 pitches to get out. As we were in 2 groups of 2, we ended up splitting, one group jummared up and the other climbed the pitches. It was really planned before hand, but worked pretty well to speed up the process.

The for me was finding the carrots, they seem to disappear, you seen them, go towards them and then they are not there anymore heheh

Skipped the first pitch pushing back off the lost pillar, escape pitch! Very nice climbing actually, got Lee to lead the first so I didn't have to lead the third where is says very bad runouts to 1st and 2nd, boyo was I so so wrong. I got proper stitched up with the runouts on P2, 25m, 6 bolts yikes! Very solid climbing and good headspace training nontheless, felt very comfortable on P2. Worthwhile route rather than jugging up the rap rope. An elite day!

Pretty decent climb! If climbing between 3-5 pm the sun will be peaking over the left, making it pretty difficult to see the bolts that trend left

Skipped the bolt ladder pitch by kicking across from the pillar. Very run out.

Led P2+4. Snappy rock makes for engaging climbing with surprisingly good moves - really enjoyable, especially p4...all way better than it looks. Bolt ladder is the crux.
