Ascents in Insubong Crag

Second pitch starting at the Oasis is harder than 5.8 as it has a slab crux maybe 5.9+ or 5.10 just after a bolt. The 11b crux near the end of the last pitch can be done aid... as I did, and many others do. Great climb.

Most easy&shor route in Insubong.

Great hands&fist jamming crack

A classic in Korea. Oldschool Grading with Oldschool Climbing.

Climbed 5.10 variation. Route finding can be a little difficult on the lower pitches. Route can get super busy.

Climbed the Ujeong A variation. Start from the Oasis up the slab to the obvious crack right of the Ujeong A layback. Pitch 2 of the variation is one of the best crack pitches I have climbed in Korea. Pitch 3 rejoins Ujeong A. It was run out and chossy towards the top. Felt harder than the grade. Top pitches are run out but cruisy.

Crux of the climb was protecting the chimney. Easier to run it out.

First Climb (personally) Ever!

1,2피치를 60m로프로 한번에 등반 가능. 3,4피치를 60m로프로 한번에 등반 가능. 단 로프가 꺽여서 잘 안 올라오니 자신없으면 피치를 끊고 가는 거 추천.

1피치를 끊고 2피치를 진행할 수도 있는데, 1,2피치를 한번에 진행할 수도 있음.

1피치 슬랩은 한두군데 까다로운 것 말고는 크게 어렵지 않음.

What a classic. From the second pitch on pure crack climbing. The crux pitch (4th) feels really hard if you are not used to offwidth cracks. Blood sweat and no tears.

The slab in the first pitch is pretty scary, not much protection possible. Then a mix of slabs and cracks which are pretty cool. The last pitch (only 5.6) was the hardest for me, bad protection in a offwidth. I need to practice this style of climbing....

두번째 선등이었지만 2피치 우상향 슬랩은 역시 무서웠음. 나머지는 그럭저럭 좋았음. 귀바위로 올라가서 정상까지 갔었는데, 귀바위 스타트가 너무 어려웠음. 다음에는 프리 도전.

좌향 크랙이 계속되는 루트. 일명 노가다길이라고 할 정도로 힘을 계속 쓸 수 밖에 없게 만듬. 레이백, 스테밍, 재밍 등을 이용해서 등반 가능

슬랩과 크랙, 페이스 등이 섞여있어서 단조롭지 않은 루트임.

초급자가 가기에 무난한 난이도이지만, 루트가 직상이 아니어서 루트 찾기가 쉽지는 않음.
