Had followed P1 and lead P2 before. Took Matt on his first trad climb, he did really well. That P1 is a bit nasty with no gear and certain deck potential. P2 felt really relaxed, I remember being totally gripped the first time I lead this. Crux pitch was cool.

Nervous, looked huge when looking up. But was actually pretty chill. Found some low grade trad style climbing much harder than it should be e.g. chimneys. Good early trad experience. Started climbing at 07h30 and topped out at 12h30.

An amazing route, following a series of overhangs with some interesting crack climbing. I saw a mouse living inside one of the rails near the top, which gave me a big fright at first! I also learned the importance of tying a stopper knot on your chalk bag, after mine nearly fell off. This route was opened at grade 18, it feels tricky but fair for the grade. If you struggle to read the route and struggle to find rests or hang around figuring out the gear it would probably feel like a pumpy 19. Beware the loose block after the crux.

Went off route and earned myself a nice whip, then calmed down and figured out a sequence that stays true to the line. Hard and heady for 19, but brilliant climbing.
