Ascents in Leasehold Wall having Beta

I really didn't like this one

I was mildly embarassed to find this has an impossible move until Jill found it impossible too. Short desperate bit then much easier.

nice but a bit dirty (needs more traffic)

Steep, bouldery start, takes best bits of the 2 routes.

Really is much better than it looks! Almost worth a star, rock at start is a bit friable.

This is actually a pretty good direct line, moss free, fun steep moves down low and a few more up high, although it eased disappointingly quickly at the top.

Hard enough, OK, nothing special.

Done this starting up Humbug, which is a good pitch but a bit hard to protect up the corner and steep and pumpy on the top wall. Double ropes a good idea.

Nice climbing, clean rock, reasonable gear and maybe even a little soft.

2nd pitch

awkward fun and steep. the rope can drag badly in a crack above the traverse

Character building. Followed the wide crack all the way then moved back right. Lower part of orange groove looked much harder than 16 but may just have been that I was shattered.

Properly this time. Orange groove is nice but hardish (gaston on a grade 16?)

This is a quality route

Fun diddle diddle.
