Ascents in King Rat Gully having Beta

Start is very hard and often seeps. Dead Metaphor is the best option to do the great top section.

Opening moves are super cool, never done a move quite like it. Top section is stellar!!! Thanks to duck for a good day out. 2nd shot.

Toproped as, like all of Gordy's bolts it seems, they are non stainless and already rusted to crap.

Either an epic sandbag or the broken looking hold used to be a hold. Felt 27. The first big move is hard enough in its own right if you're under 6'2"

The jump is mental, took a handful of tries.

Spanked on TR, but cut me some slack here, it was the only route not occupied and sheltered from the pissing rain by a huge chock stone over the gully.

Jumped on it 'cos it has bolts! Although a little awkward coming down. Short and pretty ordinary. Still worth it if you like sport and need a rest from fearsome tradding.

Not that great. RPs at the start, it's a bit bold but the climbing and rock are not that great.

Not worth a star. There is gear to protect you before the bolt but the rock is pretty questionable. Climbing isn't that special.

This is the only route I can think of that I don't think should have been rebolted. The bolts were so obviously rubbish from the day they were put in that it made it quite atmospheric - a bolted death route. Now it's not really worth doing, as the climbing is just average.

The only route I've ever done that it's handy to have 2 x #4RPs. Still a bit bold.

Thought this was good but not two stars. Have done second pitch, remember it being loose feeling and not much gear but don't remember the climbing being great. Might be worth doing it again.

Rock is mank. Gear is mank. Could do with a rebolt and repositioning of bolt.
