Ascents in Mari Buttress

Really good climb!

The start is hard, especially until you make it high enough to place pro.

Struggled even harder with the finger sequence at the end.

Might have to come back for another go.

Awesome line! Absolutely freezing in the shade and wind.

Got my red cam stuck halfway up. Had to come back at night with Jack Leerson and an axe to bash it out.

Great climb. It was a good warm up for Mari. I don't remember much of it after doing Mari though haha.

This climb was epic. Terrifying but so good. Rack beta: Despite appearances, you don't need more than a double rack up to #2 BD cams. A single #3 is nice but not necessary.

The first moves are hardest and least well protected. Then it chills. Lovely climb, but probably serious at the grade.

Gear is a little sparse after the mantle but there.

glassy slabby feet. forgot the crack gloves. terrifying and pumpy. done in two pitches to reduce rope drag. it'll be a while until i can place gear on this

thought it would be easier climbing this while it wasn't raining. elvis'd the cruxxy bulge near the start and stuck a solid hand jam to drag myself over the lip. lost my head game a bit after that.

Jeebus! I found this nails at the grade. I struggled with the slippery start until I sorted my feet, though the top was no slouch either. One of the harder routes I've done at the grade.

Well I almost fell off the start by jamming the crack instead of lay backing. Great steep corner above

TR attempt to see if it would go, was delicate on the feet but overall the moves were straightforward for the grade. Will try again looking for gear.

decided a single-pitch route with a bolted anchor was the way to go for the 'rest' day after a 10.5 hr day. climbing in wet weather probably gives it a +1 grade. was keen to lead it but ran out of daylight. this was less crack and more chimney (which was disappointing)

Our rope got stuck on the pull down and we had to cut it free

I really need to do this route when it's dry... Final climb for an epic session...2 and 45 minutes.
