Ascents in Mr Big Area

Lead the final 19 pitch. Classic exposure, overhang with jugs. A little chossy, the following conversation happened as I was starting pitch 3:

Me (leading): This jug moves when I hold on. That makes life harder. Belayer: A movable jug? Just put it where you want it. It actually makes it easier! Me: Ah of course, that is what I was doing wrong.

Great climb. First pitch was harder than anticipated and the wind made everything feel cold and exposed. We had a bit of fun cleaning the third pitch as the second stayed on the belay, i thin kit's easiest to bring a second up and rap from the top. well worth doing

Got on this accidentally

Took a while to step off the ground, then a few precarious moves to 2nd bolt, glad I didn't lead P1. Linked P2 & P3 on half ropes having missed the anchors in the cave.

What a great climb! Linked P1 & P2 climbing on two ropes for massive rope drag. The P3 roof had enough jugs to be thoroughly enjoyable, although there was some choss. We got our ropes stuck on the rap down with winds wrapping them around the Honey Rider arete.

Took a hilariously long bush-bash approach to find the climb...took us about an hour instead of 10mins. Had to back off from doing the 3rd pitch due to nightfall! Gutted we didn't get to try the amazing looking 3rd pitch, we'll be back! This time during the day..and without dropping an ATC.

One day ill get a clean ascent on a multi! Endurance issues on P3 but this was by far my favorite. Powerful moves on jugs through the roof then sustained but still juggy until a rest in the cave. Well bolted through the crux. Earlier pitches are runout, however, no reason to take a fall.

Suggest perhaps doing a 50m rapel to the top of P1. We had some issues hitting the ledge with the overhang above it.

The starting moves are hard for 18 but overall the climb is great. Really enjoyed the sit down belay in the cave.

Great climbing on the first 2 pitches and then the 3rd pitch in my opinion was the best. Just be careful with the 3rd pitch we had problems pulling the rope, would recommend taking 2 ropes as it says in the guide.

First moves on first pitch are stiff at grade 18. Rest is pretty cruisy.

This route was okay. The opening sequence was really cool and tenuous but from there its a doddle to the top amongst dubious rock.

The second pitch is the best one on this route featuring really nice climbing on generally good rock. First pitch was meh and the last pitch was underwhelming. Again be really careful of loose rock and probably bring a helmet!

P2 was the nicest easy pitch I've done in a while!

Had commitment issues trying to get the draw on before the roof on P3. The moves were good, and it was a stunning position!

Overall, better than Honey Ryder.

First few moves of Pitch 1 can't POSSIBLY be 18. Hardest moves all day; with ground fall potential!

P2 and P3 are in great positions, but nothing too memorable.

first few moves off ground are a bit balancy and potentially dangerous as you can swing and hit ground.

Good climb except for ground fall potential at the 2nd bolt.

Missed the redpoint. Traverse left after the roof was trickier than I remembered. Still an excellent final pitch.

Extremely difficult following the line after the last bolt. I abandoned it and went up the arete. Wendy seconded and sort of laybacked with one hand on the arete, maybe that's the move...

Considerably harder and cooler than CF. A couple of sweet slab moves.
