Ascents of Smoked Mussels as Hang dog

Got progressively worse every attempt, first attempt only move that took 2 attempts was the last move. 3rd burn pulled almost every draw. Knee felt fine in the moment but the next day and week felt ever so slightly off, will go again when it's 100%

If anyone has some tall beta for the heel crux let me know !

I really love this climb and I think it’s because it’s one of the first route climbs I’ve worked where I feel like I’m pushing a bit. I think I should send if I don’t climb like an ostrich. Might also not have enough power endurance but not sure. I can get it in two without much rest. Falling before the first dead point because I run out of beans.

First 2 redpoint burns. Tickled the break on the first attempt. Powered out setting up for the break on second attempt. Got the same low point from 2nd to finish.

Surprised myself with the 1-sit. First time sticking the full opening sequence to the second bolt. Had a big rest then went from the 2nd to top.

Linked to 3rd clip, then powered out before the main rest.

Closed one account and opened another I guess! Couldn’t quite get THE move but rest went easy.

Managed to go ground to 1st bolt, can't quite stick the tricky heel sequence. Linked 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th.

Project shopping, managed to do a few of the moves and 1 link from the final rest to the top.

Had to pull through the crux move, couldn’t hold the left hand crimp but did all the other moves . Love this long boulder on rope.

Draw hang, not exactly connies, but pretty close.

Damn. Enjoyable climb but felt pretty hard with my lack of technical ability. Saw Ants log, man can't be stopped

Conditions were excellent and the moves felt great!

Knee started hurting after the first lap so I cleaned the route - for another time!

Spooge city. New beta for the top is goood

Spooged off the crux, lowered and fell going for the break again. Smartened up the beta to make that move less powerful and more high percentage

Linked to going for the break again dah, but the best it's ever felt with some new beta. Good Connie's would help soo much

Night sesh!! Inspection lap, did all the moves except for the reach off the heel. Quite a reachy climb

Linked to the throw to the break. Just wanted to chalk up soo bad but didn't feel I could stop anywhere lol Stoked on the link, but I find the final sequence very tough as I can't statically reach the good edge from the undercling. Figured out a few options that seem like they would be desperate on link. Need to work the moves some more. Keen!

Definitely a boulderers climb. 3 shots, last shot fell with heel on in the crux, dogged move and straight to top. Think I need a little more friction, strength and rest before trying again, found the crux move very hard for the grade.

Hard; got harder with the attempts or maybe it's me?

Finally did the move from the ground, then fell moving up to the break. Feeling good

4.5 months since I popped a finger on this route, I'm almost ready to be hurt again. Feels good, just need a bit more power in reserve.
