Super duper chimney climbing! First pitch goes on for ages and you settle into a beautiful rhythm that sounds rather heinous when explained verbally. Good gear and very grippy rock makes for a pleasant ascent. The start is spooky until you commit to sitting down into the chinmey rather than trying to bridge the moves. Commit earlier! Tess led what was supposed to be the grade 10 pitch and went completely off-route chasing after bolts (classic sport climber ) and ended up doing what I think must have been the 18 pitch of West Face of the Mirrorball

This is a climb that rewards hauling on fragile ironstone flakes. Add a grade if you limit yourself to holds that won't break. Milked the rests at the ledges. Crux for me was the pocketed face; went with Luke's beta of getting LH to the highest pocket then throwing for the rail.

An enjoyable romp. Should really be called the "west arete of the mirrorball". Wandered a bit too far left at the crux of P1 and got stopped by the rope drag and went back up direct. Did P4 twice because I forgot the backpack the first time. I think P4 is just as spicy as P1 despite having a lower grade in the guidebook.

Logging this just to add comment on pitch lengths. P1&2 linked was a couple metres past halfway on my 50s. Last rap made it on 50s with a few m to spare

Seth won the rock off, which meant that I got the honours of leading the wet slab start. Just to add to the controversy, I’ve done harder 18s, despite it being completely soaked. Despite the choss, the whole route was still excellent. I wish p3 was longer though! Awesome morning, and good to finally tick it off the list. Finger didn’t give me any grief which is nice. Everything except the last pitch felt overgraded, but it didn’t detract from the fun of the movement.

Nice chill morning with rach, good to place gear again. Some sections of really good climbing, interrupted by ledges and dirty topouts. Worth it for p3 At 5’2” rach was on the lookout for the move that was “harder if you’re short”, but failed to find anything reachy 🤷🏻‍♂️ #6 is absolutely unnecessary, with the crack taking plenty of other gear at that point. Also only took 2 x #2 and it was fine (the p2 belay has options). Got to place my 4 a couple times though, which makes me happy

Toward the top of a ~15m runout I transition to the (wet) slab and make my way toward the tree (banksia...sick). As I pull over the lip I notice a rather large python eyeing me down some 10cm from my face, in front of the anchor. In this instance I opted to extend the anchor to a fun hanging situation in case our friend felt introverted. I then proceeded to belay up my three partners to join me in this predicament. P.S I would've downclimbed had I not put a microtrax in halfway to protect the second simulers Three stars.

	19	★★ The Silk Road - with Rene Provis 1 18 35 Trad Actually such a fun pitch. The climbing kinda reminds me of Firebug first two pitches. For me this felt like a solid 18. 2 19 35 Trad Sustained. For me this had one of the hardest moves on the entire route 3 19 30 Trad Lots of stemming and a couple sporty moves hanging off jugs. Loved this. 4 16 25 Trad The exit pitch. Despite appearances and grade it does have a couple of fun moves. Little bit overgrown at this point compared to the other pitches.	Trad 130m	★★★ Classic	Jamie Spencer
Splitter cracks for over 100 metres. Sure, there is veg and dirt on some of the pitch top outs, but it doesn't get much better than this at the grade and... without a single bolt!!! There's gear everywhere!!! First pitch is a little sandbagged at 17 - feels like a tough 18 with some tricky moves passing the roof/chimney down low. Sustained, adventurous, and a lot of fun Look forward to getting back on this again. Thanks for the great day out Rene Provis!

Soon improves to fun corner climbing. Used the #6 but TBH wouldn't bother bringing it next time. Stitched it up after the start. Usual dirty ledge mantle. 4 16 25 Second lead by Stubtronics Bit of cool climbing deteriorates into exit pitch vege-neering.	Trad 130m	★★ Very Good	davedave
Stoked to finally get on this route, good traddy fun, lots of stemming and a bit of jamming. Rack: 0.3-#4 doubles, 3#1, 4#2, 1*#6, set standard nuts, set and a bit alloy offsets. Used half ropes. Would use single rope, ditch the #6, ditch standard nuts next time.

A great afternoon (in the sun) with Mungo. I was pleased to climb through the P2 crux after a little rest on the rope depite almost losing consciousness from dehydration. I was also very happy to redpoint the last pitch despite fiddling with gear a lot and getting pumped. I think pitches 1, 3 and 4 are probably only about 20, and pitch 5 might be 21

A complex ascent. After several aborted attempts I rope soloed to the carrot under the roof (3.5 pitches). When I entered the roof, two pins blew and I fell and hit the face, injuring my knee. After camping on the ground I bailed. I then had a full-blown nervous breakdown for about a month with my gear still hanging at the belay and a rope fixed to the ground. Anton offered to help me finish the climb, and he led the roof. I led P5, then Anton led P6.

	19	★★ The Silk Road - with Joyu 1 17 35m Trad lead by Ben Anthonisz First pitch was made particualrly challenging by the presnese of grim on my shoes, Awkward ish moves to be honest. probably the only pitch that wasnt fun. 2 19 35m Second lead by Joyu Tough for a sport climber like me. laybacking hand to finger cracks still rather difficult. Alot more difficult while removing gear unlike laytbackiing in the Gym. 3 19 30m Trad lead by Ben Anthonisz very engaging pitch. Getting into the corner to start with is a little delicate Used more nuts than I expected to. I think it was worth bringing the big green cam for the steep bit, felt re-assuring. I actuall tried to get that bit i think three times? each time down climbing to the good feet below me to rest while i tried to shake the Hee Bee Gee Bees. Had to grunt alot to get past it but it felt pretty great once i did. 4 16 25m Second lead by Joyu	Trad 130m	★★ Very Good	Ben Anthonisz
Thrilling day out. If this climb wasnt so muddy / dirty / Vegatated it would be a three star climb for sure. Stunning views, mostly great and engaging climbing. Even the trad belays were fun to make.

Last of the bolted pierces moderates - found the first pitch crux pleasantly techy, 2nd pitch fine, 3rd pitch ramble, 4th pitch - not sure I climbed the correct line around the fresh-ish scar of a recently departed block, seemed to involve more weird downclimbing than expected and the dirty run out topout. Lead odd pitches. Classic bolt mix of glue in modified SS bolts, some fixed hangers, some glue in Ps. Probably best left till last. Planned to finish up mirrorball but ended on the start on weselburger and bailed off.

There was a stiff breeze and on the first rap one of the ropes got blown to the right and jammed in a flake. I had an epic few minutes traversing over to free it. Otherwise, the rest of it was a very pleasant stress free outing and Ally got her intro to Pierce's Pass.

Great movement all the way on varying rock quality. After a sleepless night got up at 6:30 knowing I was gonna try pull the onsight of my life out my ass. Tried to link the first three raps with a beena blocked 60+70m combo resulted in roughly 1hr and 45 mins of myself and Alyssa faffing furiously with a 3:1 to drag the rope down. Finished hauling the rope down and rapped in by 10:45

Climbed the first two pitches fine and had a grand time, we accidentally did the last pitch of the west face of mirror ball (grade 18) rather than the other two. Oops... In any case was actually pretty fun, pherhaps a "direct finish" route should be added. two fun and engaging mixed trad pitches followed by slightly more technical sport is a good combo imo.
