Ascents in Cape Hauy Cliffs

Started in the layback corner to roof then step right into fist/ offwidth crack. The intent had been candlestick but the swell was hitting the first bolt on the tote, and I got soaked twice at the base of the abseil. We decided the swim wasn’t a good idea. This is a nice climb.

Repelled down the top pitch to suss out the totem then rope soloed back up the 18.

Was going to second Adam up the tote but bailed with high wind and rain. Eventually jumped on this.

A little gritty, did the right crack start, chicken wings in big crack, crux hand crack I found pretty hard with cold fingers, spat off a footer close to the top. Rock is ok unlike the thing Chris L did to the right.
