Ascents in East of the access track as Onsight

Had to down climb a few times to a rest to de pump and fliddle in the right wires n cams at the crux

Ended up grabbing the wrong side pull and having my hand slip off but held on with the right and reeled it in to stay on

Quite a sandbag for 21 in the first 10m

And the top out is total choss wrecks a good route to a tree belay

Petition for thecrag to add a new tick type for hex only onsight. I’ll settle for passive gear only but ideally both.

Started looking up how much a hex cost to send Marty, but his retrieval mission was a success.

Bit spicier than expected. Less shit than expected

May have gone wandering at the top? Didn’t have a 5 or 6 and was not keen to run out the final ~8m with a giant ledge under me. Went off right to the better pro but weirder climbing. Super fun route, would be keen to do the direct finish with appropriate gear in the future.

short and hard. Jamming is fun but jamming is hard. Climbed again to clean Dion's lead, forced no face holds and my toes regretted it.

Battled my way up this short punchy number, trust those feet !

Bit wandery hey. Couldn’t find anchors so rapped off a very thought provoking tree.

Airy! Not used to exposure like this at frog, was hectic. Felt easier than MP.

Very novel climb, “walking the plank” up the bouncy tree was a super neat experience.

First trad lead! Learning placements and learning to trust them. Starting slow and safe.

What a route this is, absolutely full value! I found it to be a climb of two halves. The orange corner system is a feast of sustained laybacking and technical stemming with small but great gear. When you reach the rooflet the route really gets exciting. The travese onto the arete is absolutley wild and quite committing, with no immediately obvious gear or holds. I found the placements from here on to be more thoughtful and rope drag really needs to be managed if you actually want to enjoy the upper half of the route. Bring more slings than you think you need.

A poopy dacks moment came close to the top where, before comitting to a slopey mantle move I looked down to realise my last 0.1 cam ~3m below my feet had unclipped, with my next piece, an RP, another ~2m below that. I managed to squirm onto the ledge with great trepidation and considerable effort given the heinous rope drag I'd created for myself. Having long run out of slings I then extended the next piece with my PAS in order to protect the fianl awkward buldge before the chains.

A triumphant return to Frog! Jiji

Fun climb at the grade with good gear. Tricky little move off the ledge and up for the first metre or so.

Super stoked with the onsight! Fumbled my way up the first 3/4 of the first crack, then finally figured out some half decent jamming technique for the last quarter.
