Been wanting to do this for a while. 3rd shot. Onsight was a throwaway (its kinda hard to work out where this climb goes at first), 2nd shot I pumped out just before the jugs. 3rd shot was pumpy as hell, but controlled for the Send. Some dubious rock, and kinda short, but fun, steep climbing that gets easier as you go. Guarded by a bouldery crimp-traverse start. Bring a rack of wires, and BD #1 and #0.5 cams, and a long sling to sling the bollard at the top for an anchor.

Easy flash thanx to Pauls gear. Hard crimpy start but gets easier and easier to the top out. Some of the Rock is a bit soft but fun.

Stellar Route, have to come back with a fresh set of arms! Don't do what I did though and actually go INTO the off-width ;-) The exit is a lot tighter than it looks (had to take my helmet off just to be able to turn my head...)

grovel through the massive horizontal break at the start and desperately search for any good gear before you can start enjoying this traverse. it is simply a pleasure to be climbing on such great sandstone. this climb gets a bit technical and pumpy at the end but the gear is everywhere you need it to be.

hmmmm...average. also very tough. a depserate lead on shitty pro and shitty holds. not worth repeating unless you don't want to do the sport at the tower.

the kind of line neil likes to put his name against...i'm ashamed to say i followed him up. it does get steep and kinda alright but the rock is dodgy and the start is a dirty vegetated crack. most fun i had was down climbing the steep grade 10 descent. i believe neil sacrificed a good sling to rap off and i'm sure he thought it was worth it!!

Only 22, but still pretty good. I spent a good 1/2 hour hesitating before committing to the opening moves. All the hard climbing is over once the traverse-line is gained, but it remains thoroughly entertaining to the top. Rock quality deteriorates the higher you get. Bring a rack of cams to #3 and a full set of wires.

Warm-up. Okay climbing, no real crux, but quite sustained. Some dubious rock. The anchors 10m back from the cliff top is a downright stupid idea.

After giving paul an extended belay I didn't find this to bad or to hard. Looked tricky on the onsight with minimal chalk on the holds but climb well.

Getting reacquainted. Good link from the ground to upper crux. Still super unfit. All good training though. Upper crux is still hard! Maybe v7 in isolation.

2nd shot. Fell off the last move to the anchors on the flash attempt (pumped silly). The climb flowed nicely (fluidly) on the second shot, but I still ALMOST fell off on the desperate last move (theres a crucial hold that I managed to miss both times). An amazing introduction to this Taipan/Arapiles-esque style of body-position slopey face climbing that is equal parts baffling as it is amazing to a Blueys climber. Perfect rock.

Awesome long warm up on really good stone, the climbs on this section of the wall is the next best thing to climbing on taipan. Lots of great holds and classic grampains slopers, plenty of no hands rests with a sneaky finish.
