Two laps, teaching people to second.

Always a bit go-ey to start.

Had the wrong size cams with me at the crux oops.

During the training course

Looks hard.

Forgot the sequence but got there in the end.

Not too much trouble

Ugh, things weren't going very well today

Couldn't work this out. Need a heavier belayer.

Huzzah. If starting below Barad Dur it's a balance of rope drag vs safety.

Took several tries up and down the top half. Eventually worked out a sequence.

Seems like just another variation now.

Pleasant. Is it a crime to say this could do with a bolt?

A nice looking line. Not sure if using holds right of the crack is in. My left hand was always in the crack...

Anyone know when the bolt was put in and removed?

Nothing much very appealing about this. Clean on first attempt.

I really like this climb.

Another day, another couple of laps

Did one lap on toprope and found it surprisingly easy. It wasn't so easy the second time when i was hanging around to place gear.

Fairly well protected where you need it. Micro x4s are great.

Hard and dirty. A bit unclear about how far left it goes at the top. Fingers hurt from crimping

Huzzah! Strenuous placing gear at the start. A few dubious pieces (stacked/loose blocks.) Feels great to get this done, now I can go climb other things. Next time I'm at far crag I won't be climbing this - no Dur!

3 clean laps, fell off on the 4th lap. 1st time I've climbed it more than once in a day. Now to check out the top out and the gear...

Hard start even at grade 19. After that it's a bit mediocre compared to Barad Dur!

Arete climbing, lots of laybacking.

Jamming jamming jamming! Felt really hard but got there in the end.

Mediocre.

Great to get up this again. Jams felt solid now I know what to do.

Those flakes down low are a bit scary.

Harder than Resurrection I thought. Couple of loose blocks. Finished up the wall as for Pulpit as it looked nicer.

As hard as I remember. Will take some more work to get this right.

Managed to get it clean only once, but couldn't repeat it. A good change from doing the RHF.

Well protected.

Mediocre rambling up to wide dirty offwidth and loose rock.

Tried this with my eyes closed. Very different challenge. 1 fall at the crux.

The start is surely the crux.

First climb after the broken ankle. 12 weeks out. Awkward/slight pain pushing up on it.

Some reachy moves, pleasant enough.

Practised the crux several times on toprope before leading.

Enjoyable after the first bit of gear at 4-5m.

After a few laps on toprope I was able to find quite a lot of gear on this actually. Not great down low but solid gear at the crux.

Finally got this clean - huzzah! Finally got myself sorted out on the top crack. Did it three times in fact!

Tough move just after moving onto the top grey wall gave us some trouble to begin with.

Contrived climbs don't really get me excited.

Cool climb.

With one rest. Just need to figure out the right sequence at the top. Jamming isn't really my thing...

Rested off to the right at the first roof, took me a while to get myself together!

Would almost be worth a star if it wasn't for the grit!

Toproped many times before so figured it was time to man up for the lead.
