Ascents in Far North

Felt much harder than Centaur to me, so I'll give it a 17.

Less sustained than Gear Freak, though it still has its challenges (near the bottom).

Cool moves at the start, easy wide crack to finish. Also very worthwhile.

Pure handcrack. Definitely worth checking out.

Nice little layback. Probably a few grades harder than 12 though.

Great route even though its short. Would be great to get the carrots replaced and a better rap off system installed at the top.

Probably a good route, but found it to be a bit of a sandbag. Definitely not a "beginner hand crack" as described in the Pipes guide crack climbing article. More like steep off-width.

Pretty cool little route in an awesome position. Would be even better with ring bolts instead of carrots.

I hate carrots...but this route was well funky. Single bolt for rap, backed up with an old sling...

KICKEN WINGS!! a bit too wide for double fists, a bit too narrow for a body squeeze... grade 8 my f*ken arse!!

shouldn't get a star. spaced and not very good gear with lots of loose rock in between

great little climb, if only it was a bit longer.

Some really nice moves followed by two very loose flakes, best done in the sun very cold otherwise

great, or would have been a nice lead if i could have held onto the rock for 3 seconds without my hands freezing. wait until after 7am to climb this one

It might only be short, but it's got some bloody good moves on it!
