Ascents in Northern Buttress

Had a play on the bottom section. Couldn't make the move past the 3rd bolt, but the section below that came together fairly quickly. Very cool climbing. Keen to get back on it.

Weird and wandery. Finished up skyline minor

awesome! really fun jamming, with some cool facey sections. a bit crimpier than i would have liked with my angry pulley. 2 pitches, belayed at sideshow bolts.

Came back for the send, still can't jam. A well protected classic, perfect for the incompetent tradster!

I keep coming up with redeeming qualities in my mind. I still came away from this climb with a feeling that I’d prefer that the entire tower be dynamited into oblivion.

Fun little romp

Short but sweet lil finger crack.

Led in 3 pitches, tanmay first, me the others. Got my knee jammed in the crack for about 10-15 minutes, nearly had a panic, took my helmet and beanie off to calm down, and worked my knee out, just managed to get it unstuck. Good fun.

For me the most tricky move was protected by the smallest gear on the route. I had my hesitations but managed to push through.

I've climbed it quite a few times over the years: still love it.

Nice climbing. Definitely at least 19, maybe 20 (e.g. at least one grade harder than All Systems Go).

Excellent face climbing. Gear was pretty good once I found it. Small cams n wires.

Started off all manic and scared and sat on gear before committing!

Finally opened the account on Mira Mira, had a promising first sesh. Managed to link all the moves into vanity in one sit. Hopefully next sesh!

Good route, a bit dirty, but would clean up easily.

Superb crack - clean and challenging. Should see more traffic. Might be green-pointable.

Extremely sustained. One of the great, hard, classic finger cracks on the mountain. Should get more traffic. All moves free but need to work the crux a bit more to dial a sequence before I attempt a lead.

Interesting enough, found it as tough as the other two, though may have been just reacquainting myself with the Pipes dolerite

Intricate crux at about third height for me that was quite enjoyable. A bit stop/ start from half height

Didn’t find this any harder than the 2 routes to the right ( though did a silly slip below crux).

Very atmospheric. I think every pitch has something memorable.
