Ascents in Hunter Valley having Beta

Got all the moves except two in a session. Loads of fun to be here, such a surreal place. Hope to be back before any rain makes this unclimbable.

Another 7 hour session. Only missing one move now but it's the hard as nails crux move. Stoked to see progress on this rig.

Still can't figure out the one crux move, or how to link into a sequence that splits it up and works. So hard to read this problem, maybe my movement literacy isn't up to par? Or my biceps...

First session on the Tree, wow what a bloc, great moves and lots of slopers and tension. This is stellar

2nd session, condis sub optimal with some drizzle, still made progress sorting the last moves out. Just need to find the arms

Worked finish out, might've shot myself in the foot as i had no skin left after overdoing it at Tamworth. Doh

Well even old people can get lucky. Terrible conditions, expectations low and this snuck up on me!

Had a few goes but had nothing to give today unfortunately. Very cool bloc

Working the big left throw to slopey edge. Had about 5 goes trying to work out weak boy beta. Then refined it a few more times, just need some shoulders and a miracle! Fantastic problem

Benny’s beta is the go! Hit edge and held for a sec at the end of the day. This will go, but the new beta will take 2 grades off it.

Probably the new proj, done all the moves apart from the last one. The moves towards the lip are fucken spectacular 🤙

Good progress. Dialed in the harder parts and made some better links. Super psyched on this proj.

Not an overly successful day

Massive links today, so damn stoked. Really solid progress and tidied up some small bits of beta in some areas.

Fucken finally dialed in the last big move Feelsgoodman. I think another sesh or two and I’ll be going for red point attempts, exciting!

Last thing at the crag so I figured why not have play. Absolutely nails, way above my pay grade for now! Maybe one day...

WOW! I'm punching above my weight with this. Amazing climb, funky features. A very good project. -right foot high and went for high right sidepull was my highpoint.

I got to maybe within 1 metre of the top of this thing. That last move looks terrifying! It’s a long fall if you blow it off those sloppers. Backed off a couple of moves and jumped.

Holy fuck what a climb. The features look a bit like one of those old lead climbing walls with features built in. Physically definitely on the easy side for the grade. It's quite hard to commit with all the exposure, strong sea breeze and waves thundering in the background. Screamed my way up in a solo session, so stoked.

tried the moves on the gri gri then sent first boulder try. used the cheat crack out left for the top. a really awesome climb.

Unlocked some hilarious beta going feet first to the lip, need to come back with more pads to commit to the moves properly.

Working the last big move plus the mingin mantle. Sorted the top, nearly stuck the big ol throw.
