Ascents in 8 Degrees Lane Cove

Tricky, sloper finish. Probably mostly felt tricky because of the amount of dirt and moss at the top. Give it a good clean before sending.

I shall return, with shoes and a brush.

3rd session and finally sent it. Ugly beta and a mouthful of leaves but got there in the end.

Went for a repeat to make sure it wasn't a fluke.

Getting to the lip was easy but I didn't know how to mantle lol

Still working out beta for the end. Sharp crimps and delicate feet make me think this might be a V5.

Got a few moves further with progressively worse hands. Could this be a V6?

Feel so close yet so far. Maybe doing the splits (or close to) is going to be a part of the beta? Time will tell…

Got the send! A fun little boulder that rewards those with fresh arms.

Found this one a little tricky as the feet were pretty choss at the beginning. Once I found good holds and nailed the micro beta for the feet I was away

Not sure if I used the arête too much at the start, but felt like a v4 at the top with crappy feet.

Climbing here again and I think arête is out for feet. Using feet around arête means the crux devolves to “The Breach”. Arête out for feet is V4 I think. Arête in for feet is V3.

Hard (for me at least), v satisfying.

Climbed this and 'Serpents Touch' as they were only two problems here that were clean and within my grade. A solid problem starting with good holds and moving into a satisfying pinchy finish

Took a few attempts. Interesting sequence to make it up the arête that wasn’t immediately obvious.

fun route, downclimb for this rock is a little sketch though. I went for a compression downclimb against the cliff, but realised later there are a whole bunch of metal spikes (foundations from construction?) sticking out of the ground. Be careful. Might even be safer hang-dropping onto the pads where you climbed.
