I set off up this beast dripping wet from a high-quality, multi-directional beta spray-down from the gang. Bit of a battle through the crux. Victory whip above the anchors 😉

Beat this mighty line into submission with the power of kneebars. Still quite the pumper though, with all the moves feeling very consistent - no real cruxy moves. Thanks to Sandra for swooping in with that silky belay tick. Fifth shot total. This and four metres of madness make a nice pair of Coolum softies for my "first 28s". Great way to end my first Coolum trip, psyched for many more!

Super day on rog!

Flash fell apart trying to get into the wide stance, didn't find a couple of the helpful holds on the left. Went quite comfortably second shot. The kick across is all-time classic!

EOD lap with draws still on. Much easier with beta

Tried for the onsight, no dice. Fell on the anchor jug second shot like a big dummy

I was more intimidated by this than necessary. Felt more secure than the grade 18 and 20 slabbing. Getting more comfortable on the rock perhaps? Either way I thought this was high quality slabbing. Get on it!

Pumpy! Very cool kneebar-y moves

One star?!? Thought this was great. Toe hook popped and I cut and slipped off the crimps. Dang. Juggy as after the boulder, placed sooo many kneebars. Loved it!

Really yummy

Really great climbing, but unless the rock is shit elsewhere, the bolts really could have been better positioned. The crux bolt is a biner breaker and virtually all of the top half is soloing at risk of a ledge-fall when it didn't need to be.

Got the one sit, overlapping at the first double knee rest.

Warm-up lap, highpoint in the crux, but forgot some key beta. Cleaned up heaps of beta at the end on this lap.

Didn't send a kneebar deep enough below the last draw and couldn't hold on, bah! Wasn't even too pumped. Draws left on for one more shot tomorrow.

Sweet route once you breach the annoying slab start. Had some difficulties figuring out the beta at the third bolt, wasn't psyched to throw for a sharp jug.

Did the move at the third, a bit awkward and throwy but not too bad. Few links, remembering beta and dialling some stuff in. Optimistically could go Friday/Saturday before we leave?? 🤞🤞

Dream route! An astounding number of kneebars and specific beta for just about every move. Got the one sit on the second shot. Very keen to rest and come back!

The grade 18 part was quite hard. Gee whillickers these slabs are not jugs. The natural slab progression lines me up to try the 23 next and I'm not sure how I feel about that

Meet and greet with the new rock type. Weird stuff, slippery and baffling

Got through crux hanging draws on the onsight but then fell below the last bolt pumped and confused.

Awesome route. Onsight ended at the last draw, fell there again last lap of the day. If only we were coming back tomorrow..

Tried the second half that I didn't get to last time. Jugs. Keen to sink my teeth into this properly now

Getting the spray-down from Bec and Kai. Managed to do all of the moves except for the final topping out stuff as I strained something in my back while contorting around in the roof. Would love to get back on it and refine some beta. Feels do-able and is mucho fun!

Trying the moves up to the intersection with BB&J. A few sequences I didn't figure out, high levels of funk. Would be interested in trying this with beta. Did a ringlock in the slippery slot, so that's fucken awesome!

Just the one lap, pretty wrekt. Keen to come back here one day for the other routes. Can see why this wall is so popular.

Warm-up inspect. Will try again another day. Not as fun as Chevy, but similar rock - less kneebars than the rest of the cave and a pumpy second half as a result.
