Ascents in Oatley Park

Exciting when holds started breaking off on the top out...

Carrots are getting old and are weathered.

Felt like a cool 19 until the mantle up tope. then things got spicy. Maybe the grading is as oldschool as the bolting! Good climb.

Protecting the top rope over the sharp edges for the spicy mantle is my crux atm. Good

Almost every hold was either filled with funnelwebs or a bit loose so that made this pretty exciting.

the gnarled carrot in the middle of the route is rubbish, wouldn't want to lead this route, used tree anchor

Me suspects this is a short trad route, but i didn't bring any gear so i set up a top rope on carrots to sus it out. Dubious of the rock quality after breaking holds off on the shorter routes...

Fun face climbing. Lots of funnelwebs though.

Climbed using trad gear rather than top roping it. Chossy top out

Great moves between the juggy breaks. really enjoyed it.

This was great. bomber hands all the way with only 1 fist possibly needed at the end of the roof. Slightly contrived as you have to ignore all the delicious jugs to your right. But that also makes it easy to bail off. A roof crack 15? i guess so. if you know how to jam. Is the roof what scared off previous climbers? it is such an obvious line...

I checked this out ages ago for 6m is pretty rad

Besides all the historical beta of these being trad routes. The can be bouldered with pads just a bit if a risk of falling further down the proper hill 😅

a 15 till you reach the roof. maybe if you go out right it stays a 15? the roof was a bit spicy for a 15. but good

a great big fun move to mantle out of roof makes it worth the repeat.
