Alternated lead, my first sports lead in a while. We turned it into a 4 Pitch as we worked off the older guides route. Really fun specially for beginner lead climbers ( me ). Suggest a dawn start and have a bag with water go up with you as it gets hit by the sun from midday,

Great climbing through the low but committing roof on bolted hangers. The rest of the climb is slabby and climbs well below the grade on small cams and large nuts - Lucky! First Top belay on a Trad anchor!

lead 2nd, 4th, and 5th pitch, steve did 1st, 3rd and 6th. 5 and 6 are gold. Thought i was going to die on pitch 2. Steve had a touh job on 3 aswell with a few hard, balancy moves above crap gear - note the grey zero was one of which. (maybe we were of track) EXPOSURE WAS AWESOME! (take sunscreen and long sleeve shirt due to summer)

Training/assessment climb. P1 - Gary - scramble/easy climbing to bolted belay P2 - Dave - step up and then traverse right avoiding the death blocks above following the (sometimes out of view jugs) to DBB. Few loose rocks on this pitch. Reasonable gear. P3 - Marhall - ended up on a variant - original route heads up and right - lead through left. To DBB belay on ledge with cave on left facing cliff. -Variant 18 from this belay through obvious steep crack to top of cave P4 - Gary - crawl through cave then immediatedly right after exiting cave - belay on top of cave then move belay to adjacent tree for next pitch P5 - Dave - up initial bulge in front of tree with reasonable gear, then fun climbing. Event with doubles and long slings rope drag sucked. Belay on ledge with lone pine, below and left of prominent horn. P6 - Marshall right then up from the belay through obvious weakness in the steep wall, the back left above horn and upwards to the summit. Belay from bolders/tree at top. Return to start by scrambling up and left from the belay, keeping the uphill summit on your right, stepping across saddle to find chains behind large bush - rap ~40meters to massive ledge, scramble/via ferrata to rap station. Bit of challenging route finding, some placements needed a bit of gardening. Bolts look in reasonable condition.

Pitch 4 Direct through steep crack (18), rather than crawl up and L under cave to gully/R wall (3). Pitch 1 (death block) and 2 (traverse) direct via Black Gold (18).

The moves coming out of the crack and onto the face I found quite scary and difficult on lead but my 2nd found those moves easy. The rest of the climb was great though a bit dirty probably dosen't get climbed often

Great for Trad skills as a beginner climber. No hand rests to place gear helps before hitting crux moves. Funky start though. Rap down on tree to the left at top.

Words can't do this route justice. Photos can't do this route justice. Hell, even justice can't do this route justice. Wendy says it's just an unjust route. Undeniably a world-class, "you should travel here to lose skin on this" route. Despite making fun of Lee, (Hi Lee!) this is a complete megaclassic, one of the best things I've done. Awesome.

Followed in a single pitch (with drag); doubles would sort it. Easy climbing for the grade, but airy on great rock with good small and slightly spaced protection.

Great climb, though the first abseil pitch off the top has a wasp infestation which attacked the both of us. If this is here don't bother with the last pitch, it's easily noticeable from the anchors of the 5th pitch. Don't try linking 5th and 6th together, way too much rope drag.

The start and finish are quite good but the middle is a morass of loose blocks and rubble. Worth doing only if you're going to do a second pitch.

Started right of WttJ up easy ramps to 1st FH. Very nice climbing with good crux at 2nd bolt and some more harder stuff higher. Spoilt by the climbing up the broken pillars and wondering whether you're meant to go direct. Long. Rapped to ground on single 60m from lower anchors to right. Don't know if 60m rope will get you down from anchor chains.

The easier pitches are solid for the grades. Pitch 5 and 6 are the money pitches I reckon. Thanks for the beta Chris. The last pitch felt more like an easy 19.

Awesome! Definitely the coolest multi I've done so far. somehow the climbing goes from great to super dooper the higher you get. Bolts are quite spaced on the easy pitches so you want to be confident to not fall.

Incredible climbing on quality rock. One for the ages. The 21 pitch was a challenging onsight and took a few big whips. Recommend experienced climbers for the exposed belaying and rapels.

The last pitch in my opinion really detracts from the rest of the climb. But it's always cool to top out.
