Routes in North for selected grade

There is a small thread before first bolt. Then follow reachy moves to ledge, step left and climb to anchors.

The easiest line up the vertical wall a few metres left of the waterfall. Wet in a typical June but still pretty easy. Done to an obvious jump spot at 5m but you could go higher.

Well featured wall to warm up on. About 6 problems V0-V3 across the face.

Start on a crimp to reach a small ledge at 2m, then slightly right a few meters to gain horizontal ramp, right again to finish up the right leaning crack (same as Determination). Walk off carefully left and down.

Sit start with low underclings. Up through jugs

Once Lead up Pelican's Bend. Use top rope anchor to climb Pelican's Challenge on the arete just to the right. A challenge arete crux.

Walk passed the spider walk until you reach an exposed traverse/descent to the bottom of the gorge. About 2-3 m upstream from the start of this steep bolted traverse/descent into the gorge, look up for a slight overhanging wall with reasonably big holds on the right (looking downstream). That’s where the spiders go up. Pretend you are one of them with the rope being your web line! Rappel off a tree 10m right of the top of the climb. Keep a bit of energy to pull your rope down as the drag is significant.

Down on the main ledge, the leftmost line up the steep and smooth face. Brilliant climbing, which from the ground looks unlikely. Go slightly left from the start to gain the large sidepulls then back right and up the crack near the top. Doesn’t look protectable from the ground, hence it was not led. But on TR the gear was found to be adequate if you are very confident at the grade. (AWAITING FA!)

Jump madly, swing quickly and climb finally! Start standing up on flat ledge across from the chasm on the right of the wall, jump to reach the jugs and fairly straight up to the top. FA: Remi Vignals – 10/08/2015

The left alternative start to Ditherington. Start on the first terrace above river on the left end of the small roof at 2m. Mantle up and right to gain ledge, proceed up to the roof and then move around to the right to join the easy corner of Ditherington. FA: Brian Tan, Peter Zhang – 31/05/2015

Start about 3m R of the chimney. Straight up to the second horizontal break, then veer slightly L (less than a meter) and back slightly R to finish R of rooflet. Start 2m R of SNS, under a small square hole at 4m height. Directly up past this to horizontal break at 10m. Traverse 1m R, then up through R pointing arrowhead feature to ledge and top. Trad. FA: Ross Weiter, Rick Davies, Jun’11.

Start on obvious jug on the left. Move right to topout.

Well featured low wall with warm up options. Sit starts etc.
