Ascents in West Face Boulders

Actually a very nice highball boulder problem on good rock, this one is worth checking out! Tricky start to get off the ground and into the flake payback, then tricky delicate transition under the roof into jugs to finish. Gave it a scrub down (filthy) for the next sender.

Had to use the right arete with a bit of chimney, going direct would be super hard and thin.

Looks like it takes the hueco dyno on the left, but the next bit is some terrible Gaston pocket thing to a small seam. This one is HARD, wonder if anyone ever sent it.

Outrageous big heuco dyno spanning thing to break. Had to use the left arete to progress. Would be very hard direct.

Spotted a few itinerant carrots over left in a traversy thing, but not really seeing much of a route here. Key parts are flat like a burdock root.

Super nice, flowy, crimp sequence boulder. I really enjoyed projecting and sending today. Highly recommend jumping on.

I was there with Hoschke for the first ascent and was stoked to repeat it recently. Great moves through the roof, up a blunt arete to a bold top-out. Classic.

Sussed out the roof moves to the slap. Very nice.

Super cool sequence but this was now second session of cruising all the moves up to the big move to the ledge and falling on it every attempt. 😢

managed to reach the same high point that i got to last year pretty quickly but still cant figure out the top

Took several sessions to even get the moves let alone string them together.

Damn you Kieran for making this boulder look so damn easy, 2 sessions in, i can land the compression move but can't do a damn thing afterwards.

the knee in the dimple did the job straight away allowing me to do the last move to the ledge hold.

Also when I arrived at the boulder I found 4 separate pieces of climbing tape that had been left. I took then and trashed them but please take out everything you take in. Also a water bottle was left I put it under the Boulder.

Almost got the day flash, but still managed to it done today after 5 sessions.

Funky shit down the bottom, so fun to work.
