Ascents of Et Toit... Ca Va!

Finally! I've had a few cracks at this over the years and failed miserably getting into the undercling. Today it was easy with a smeared right foot in perfect humidity conditions allowing me to reach up and in.

Won't lie, I dynoed to finish this one. The finishing move was too hard for my injured finger to try so I dynoed past it.

Very tricky near the anchors. Couldn't figure out a way to step up my feet to make the underclings feel better. Feels harder than 18

Another failure

I keep telling myself (and others) that I'm better than this climb, but this climb continues to get the better of me! I just cannot reach and pull myself up into the undercling, and traversing the sandy shyte up to the horn in the right feels impossible!

Hard ish move before the anchors using the underling in the little roof... Going right to the jugs must be the proper way though

Hard for the grade. Not massively enjoyable. Maybe I got lost

thought this was a stiff 17, turns out that was the listing number of the climb, not the grade - but still stiff for an 18...?

first climb post covid tasted like humble pie!

snapped a hold and fell

A short 18, expecting a nice 'warm up' but couldn't be further from it. Eventually worked out all the lower moves without too much hassle but I found it a pretty tough climb, in particular getting to the final anchors. It absolutely beat me. I couldn't reach/get the undercling and eventually traversed right instead (on a separate attempt) to try the better holds and was max pumped. Struggled to clip, struggled to clean. Well beaten!
