Ascents in São Bento do Sapucaí having Beta

Easy climbing up to the second pitch, but I was not confident Bia would overcome her fears due to the increased exposure as the pitches get a little more vertical so we decided to retreat. I was also concerned I could potentially fall on some run outs and she would be scared if that happen. Still a very good outing! I hope to come back and do it with her.

The first pitch is really good. A link to Cavaleiro das Trevas will make this route much nicer.

1 - Diedro clássico, linda enfiada. Bem protegido, diferente e técnico. Morceguinho camarada dentro do fissura!

2 - Sem graça e fácil...

3 - Sensacional, movimentos bacanas até o crux, que é assustador e delicado, com 2-3 movimentos duros. Mas super bem protegido.

4 - Travessia horrorosa. Fácil, mas não PODE cair. Proteção horrível, precisava de mais uns 3 grampos pra ficar segura...

5 e 6 - semelhantes em técnica. Divertidas, mas nesse estágio eu já estava cansado e com muita fome!!

7 - porcaria e super fácil...

It is marked as Trad because multi pitch in Brazil also means Trad. It is fully bolted though. The first pitch crux is harder than the grade marked here. Beautiful and easy second pitch.

F* scary run out to the first bolt. We climbed only with sport gear and that's basically all you have to protect you. The route is not hard, just scary, so be mentally prepared.

Amazing technical crux with a cherry boulder in the end.
