The traverse of the Dents de Lanfon is a must for every mountaineer visiting or living in the region.

The tour can be done without a rope, but this is only advisable if you already know the route and/or are confident that you can handle the difficulties of the ascents and descents. This is because you are constantly moving in terrain that is at risk of falling. A head for heights and surefootedness are essential. The route should only be attempted in dry weather.

The tour rewards you with incredibly beautiful views of Lac d'Annecy and the surrounding mountains and is a great adventure.

Enter route on the east side at about 1650m (45.85734, 6.24471). The start is marked with a red dot.
